Best chicken mushroom pie I've ever had. The pastry is buttery, light and flaky, the chicken and mushroom are juicy, and the white gravy is lightly creamy, peppery, salted, garnished with caramelised spring onions.

The croissant was also the best Croissant I've ever had. The glaze had a hint of sweet, the roast a hint of coffee, and the mindblowning number of layers were enough to make this mini croissant lover's heart, explode. Nevermind the delicate crunch of the crust and the buttery soft inside. Thoughts were lost in that moment of perfection.

The gf banana bread was a wild card as I'm trying to stay away from gluten's sleep paralysis effect on me. The warm parts were really nice and soft and slightly moist, but the cold part in the middle took me away from the experience. Would be amazing toasted with a slight crisp on the outside.

The corporate butter.... should be renamed to heaven's butter. It was so milky, it would make a cat wag its tail.

The house made tomato sauce, what an absolute treat and a total spoil to your customers.

It was a good idea to spontaneously stop by your bakery on the way up to the nearby waterfall. So much love for your work.

Thank you to the counter staff for the recommendations on the pie. Will be trying more of your offerings the next time we...

This is a DESTINATION cafe everyone, don't miss out, come and find TEMPO. We phoned ahead and chose lunch from the menu as we were unexpectedly running late. Immensely friendly and hospitable staff made us immediately welcome as we crashed in, the coffee machine remained on for us and our beautiful food came out immediately. We absolutely love this place and the service you get from people who genuinely enjoy the hospitality business. The menu has enough staple cafe fare to keep the traditionalists happy, but so much more in terms of creativity and imagination with inventive, colourful and delicious dishes for all day breakfast, brunch or lunch. Everyone will find something flavoursome and nutritious which will be prepared and served with care and flair. Parking good, either street or in the smallish parking area directly in front of the cafe. There are bike racks too. Plenty of space outside for those with mobility issues (no steps if you don't do steps) or for those with dogs (and children), a big deck area too, as well as the cosy inside with a blazing fire for cooler days. Everyone who walks through the door is noticed and acknowledged, this is SO important, even when staff are really busy we all want to feel we've been noticed. Superb food and service in a tucked...

I was greeted by a lovely smile from a staff member and asked what I would like to order. After asking for a coffee, an abrupt man spoke over the top of the staff member, stating that they (coffee) were closed and they didn't do takeaway anyway. The man quickly disappeared. As I walked out, I noticed the man and asked him why he believed I wanted takeaway? "I just presumed", he said, looking me up and down. I stated that he should listen to his customers, to which he replied, "don't come back!". Well, I won't. There was a lack of any signage in relation to the fact services were stopped, the doors were open and I was asked what I wanted to order. I could have been offered a seat or been offered an alternative, but it seemed the man was more interested in going home. I am unsure why most businesses close coffee services early to clean the machine, when it only takes a quick rinse or monthly deep clean. Service is paramount in any...

If i could give 10 stars, i would. Their pancakes were delicious and very filling and i couldnt believe they were gluten free and vegan, incredible! Not just a feast for your eyes but also healthy, i really enjoyed their own home made nutella, I would not have ordered this pancake if it had real nutella, i dont need palm oil in my life. My friends zucchini waffles were amazing i heard also, but i didnt try myself. They served me a great sticky chai, which is always a sign of a good cafe - when they know how to make sticky chai correctly. What i also loved was the interior design of this cute cafe, everything was well thought out to great detail. They even had custom curved doors for their bathrooms! As a designer, i really appreciated the detail, including each table having handbag hooks!! Overall, well done Tempo! I have driven past many times and didnt know you existed till a friend suggested your cafe, and I will certainly be back!

I discovered the gem that is Tempo, only recently. Our last experience was an extremely positive one, from start to finish. Although it was very busy, the staff still managed to offer us a warm welcome on arrival and explain the menu in depth. The coffee roast is by Gabriel Coffee and the finished product on the table is excellent. (If you like Single Origin & Artificer Surry Hills, you'll like Tempo's offering). The food is excellent and will more than satisfy those who aren't yet on the whole food bandwagon. We'll be back for the great service, Kung Pao cauliflower, pan fried Barramundi, green smoothies and the incredible fit-out! Keep it up Tempo.
