McDonald's Heathcote — Restaurant in Sydney

I wish I could give 0 stars. I wasn’t going to review but now my children have food poisoning from the frozen the double ‘reheated’ hotcakes we had today. we waited an atrocious amount of time for the food. When we got it we were missing items( food and cutlery) and to boot the 4 lots of hotcakes were frozen! When I went back to the front counter and advised them the first girl who spotted me gave me the biggest eye roll 🙄 the 2nd was lovely though and offered to help. I could see the duty manger out the back packing the food and didn’t even come to see what the issue was she let her staff take the brunt of the complaint. While I was waiting again for them to make 4 hotcakes and 2 muffins I tried to get the girl in cafes attention as we also had no cutlery, she was the rudest of all the staff members when I asked if I could get some cutlery I was greeted with ‘this is the cafe area only we do coffee’ in the most sarcastic tone. I used to work at I’m aware what areas do what but you all work for the same place, and if I had spoken to customers like that I would have been fired! Lucky she had a polite co worker ( a blonde girl ) who tapped her friend on the shoulder and offered to help me. All in all a terrible experience and now I have 2 sick little boys and one of them the breakfast was for his birthday. To the manager on Duty today 14/9/25 at around 9am I hope the owner sees this review and you get reprimanded for letting your teenage staff try and manage complaints that are meant to be for you! Stopped in for breakfast Sunday 11/05/25 around 9.00am, first time since the upgrade. It looked lovely, Clean and fresh. Ordered through the self serve board. 1 coffee, 1 apple crumble Muffin,1 hot cakes combo. We got our coffee/latte straight away, we asked for extra hot, received them moderately warm. We waited 20mins for our food. It was not busy at all. Perhaps 6-8 people waiting as well. Our food was placed on the counter perhaps 15mins after ordering by girl no: 1 and walked away, 2nd girl came, looked at it and walked away. 3rd girl came and looked and yelled our number, it would’ve been sitting there for at least 5mins. We sat down and my muffin was very cold in the middle and slightly warm on the outer. My husband’s hot cakes were slightly warm and his butters were all melted into liquid form. He had to go to the counter and ask for firm butter and whipped Butter. He received no fork, had to go and ask for a fork, and did not receive his hash brown, did not realise until the next day. While we were for waiting for our food, 2 men from the drive through popped in and complained they have been waiting 15mins for their food, they were very irate. One customer called for the manager and complained about his wait time also. While we were eating, we were people watching and every customer was not happy, nodding their heads, pacing the floor and mumbling to themselves due to the wait times and errors in their orders… We were so disgusted and disheartened at the service we and everyone else received.
