I ordered via app specifically skipped drink because I have 2 vouchers in the car.
When I arrive the drive through I mentioned I need pickup order the online order (might be code L82 I am not 100% sure, ordered 2021-09-22T18:48:02, order number 0016).
Unpon pickup I asked "can I add a drink I have a voucher"
the lady asked which flavour I said coke Zero.
Then I see a medium coke no sugar added to my order and my app showing I got charged 32+ while when I order on the app it said 28.
So I asked the ladies when I drive up to the cash register window "have you charge me for the medium coke? My intention is to use my voucher"
she said but that can only buy small drink.
I have not order the drink in any specific size, I just wanted to use the voucher, she assumed I wanted medium and made it "my decision".
I asked "can you give me a refund and let me use the voucher and I handed over the voucher."
She didn't take it and ask me drive to the next window to talk to the manager.
When I go to the next window there was a male staff seems know nothing about it clearly the drive through register lady didn't not say anything about what happened and her own mistake. He told me there is no coke no sugar and I said sprit is fine, I was expecting a small drink but I got a medium one. To that moment I stated to realise he know nothing about the previous conversation.
I explained again the manager come over and said "our system cannot alter customer order, what you have on the order is what you ordered." I was starting to get frustrated and said "are you saying I am telling a lie for $4? I can keep the drink but I am telling you I didn't order it, I wanted to use my voucher, she added it on the register."
For her (female manager with Indian/Pakistan look) credit she did give me refund in cash and I returned the drink. When I explained my poor experience she has been polite but firm on the story of the system can not change online order and I ordered the drink myself.
She insisted if I need to use my voucher I have to drive through the drive through again while I offered the voucher to the payment window but got send to the collection windows to see the manager.
This is ridiculous.
I gave her both of my voucher and said I don't want this anymore. I was upset but not been rude.
I need answer for two items:
please find out if the system can change online order or not.
can she walk over to the payment window and pass on the voucher then give me a drink?
It is fair to ask apologize for force their mistakes on me twice within the same night.
I am not writing such a long feedback because either $4 drink or 2 vouchers.
Stick to the fact, wrong is wrong, I am not going to be a horrible person for an honest mistake. Making human error is what human do. But I won't get tossed around and be quite for someone else's mistake when I...
Read moreThis morning, I went to the McDonald’s located at the BP station in West Ryde to grab a coffee.
I generally avoid coming to this location because of a particular staff member whose attitude often feels dismissive and, at times, discriminatory. Unfortunately, my visit today confirmed why I usually choose to stay away, as my experience with that same employee ruined my morning.
To summarize: There was an error with my order. McDonald’s staff failed to include one of the items I had clearly ordered, yet the blame for the mistake was placed on me. Instead of apologizing or addressing the issue, he told me to go back and reorder.
What made the situation worse was the demeanor of the staff member I was hoping not to encounter again.
Here’s what happened in detail: I placed an order for two coffees and a BBQ sandwich through the drive-thru. As I approached the payment window, the staff member confirmed my order verbally, including the BBQ sandwich. I acknowledged it with an “okay” and proceeded to the pick-up window. However, when I received my items, only the two coffees were provided.
When I inquired about the missing BBQ sandwich, the staff member insisted I had only ordered two coffees. Despite explaining that I heard my order being confirmed earlier, I was met with no apology. Instead, I was told to return and reorder the sandwich if I still wanted it.
Mistakes can happen, and I understand that completely. What bothered me most was the attitude of the staff member, Mervin, whose behavior I have found troubling in the past.
From my very first encounter with him, his responses have been curt and unwelcoming. I initially thought this was just his personality, so I tried to greet him with a smile and polite conversation. However, my efforts were ignored. What confirmed my suspicion was observing his friendly and cheerful interactions with other customers. It became clear to me that his dismissive behavior was directed specifically toward me.
Even that day, when I greeted him with a cheerful “Hello, good morning,” he ignored me entirely, just as he has done in the past.
I’m writing this review in hopes that no one else experiences the same treatment I did. My goal is not to see Mervin punished but to encourage him to reflect on his behavior and improve his interactions with all customers, regardless of their background.
Thank you for taking the time to read...
Read morebruv i wake up Christmas morning, excited to open gifts and have a hearty breakfast from Mcdonalds. I delicately unwrapped my Mighty McMuffin and took a large wholesome bite from my $5.35 muffin burger. expecting beautiful bursts of flavour washing through my mouth as i happily chew away at my Christmas morning breakfast, instead i am met with cold hard and crunchy disappointment as i hesitantly continue to chew through eggshells found in my McMuffin. To my absolute disgust in this unsanitary and atrocious violation to food safety, i spat out my Mighty McMuffin and dissected it like a high school frog and found more filthy eggshells that displease my expectations from a mighty food chain. I strongly believe that the young/boomer delinquent that prepared this most horrific Christmas vibe ruiner should be immediately removed from your staff base. The final Christmas of this decade has been ruined for me by the rancid Mighty McMuffin that plagued my taste buds with the shell of an unborn chicken. I will most certainly not be eating from this particular franchise as it has scarred me on this fine Christmas morning. I will be seeking counselling for this experience as it has caused me great PTSD. Every night the Mighty McMuffin haunts me in my sleep paralysis and prevents me from getting adequate amounts of sleep to function like a normal human being. i am deeply disappointed from my experience and hope that no one has to face such tragic ordeals on such a day, like the birth of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. God will forever will look down on you and be ashamed of this establishment. My kind Christian soul could never wish this upon my greatest enemy. I hope you deeply regret your mistakes as you have lost a dedicated sponsor for McDonalds. To my fellow McDonald eaters, please beware of this wicked establishment scamming you like the Christmas Grinch it is. Happy holidays to everyone but the person who prepared my...
