Iāve been in search for good Indian places located in the Shire and Moksha did not disappoint.
When my partner and I arrived, we were seated quickly and our orders were taken within 5 minutes of arrival.
For entre, we had chilli prawns and the Chat. I loved the Chat, I honestly have never tasted spinach as good as that! I canāt comment on the Chilli prawns - however, my partner said they were great.
For mains, we had the palak paneer and the lentil curry with garlic naans and rice. Both were delicious. The Lentil curry did not go well with the garlic naan - it was eaten perfectly with rice. I left the restaurant with a very full stomach.
As for the service, the entre was served within 10 minutes of ordering and the main meal followed pretty soon afterwards. The service was very good and the waiting time (to eat) was minimal.
Finally, I wasnāt sure before we arrived whether or not they serve wine⦠For reference, this restaurant is BYO :) The waiters were really nice and put other tableās beers in the fridge to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUnable to provide anything a la carte . Were advised all food / meat has been cooking for 1-4 days . Only bread was fresh . Due to allergies had to leave . Nothing fresh available . Sadly an owner replied claiming this was not a true review. Alas it is, I dare you to ask them to given them something with meat and vegetables that is freshly made here and now and not pre-cooked and has no spices (just salt/ pepper). Their rude advise below not to eat out just demonstrates their lack of culture and basic understanding. There are many allergies nowadays and most restaurants cater to them all without a hesitation and are able to provide fresh food cooked without those allergens. Thank you kind owners but I do know good food and I do only eat a-la-carte for a reason. Clearly you haven't been educated in proper cuisine-creation. All good, we won't be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIm sorry to say i tried moksha again. Hoping it had improved as they had some good reviews. Unfortunately it was a waste of money buying several galic naans and vegetable parathas. Two separate bags but neither had garlic or vegetables. Both exactly the same gluggy sweaty pancake consistency. Had a bite of both. Parathas should be flaky. Had to throw all away. . The two mains, one chicken the other beef had so little meat it was sad. Mostly all sauce in both. Never again unless there is a change of management. Waste of money and disappointing. Previous post follows. I had always loved the food here. Lamb dish tough and tasting like mutton . Very gamey. All three dishes very very wet, flavours lacking. Little meat. Not sure if im willing to give it another try. From some of the best Indian to the worse I have ever...
