Just got home from ordering from this place - One fish fillet, small chips and some potato cakes (Ya'll call them potato scallop here but I'm not here to complain after this delicious food.) First off - the service is somethin else. Absolute warmth from the opening questions of what fish they had for the day, and had a family feeling to it just walking in. Forget any fishy smell or dirt, this place is clean as hell and they even have a little sink to wash your hands before you destroy them in deliciousness. Now the food was amazing, I smashed that fillet in like 60 seconds, so crisp and juicy the finesse man, jesus the finesse of that fish changed my life. We had a fantastic experience at Oceanmaster Seafood Ashbury! The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. The portion sizes were generous, and the food was spot on — some of the lightest, crispiest batter I’ve ever had on fried fish, while the grilled options were cooked to perfection. The chips were crunchy and perfectly seasoned with chicken salt, and the fresh salad was a nice touch — especially with the option to add as much dressing as you like.
