I ordered a Half Chicken Box for a total of $21.20 with an Extremo Picante Basting on the chicken, complemented with sides of spicy rice and chips, with a Garlic Dipping Sauce. I was personally handed the meal in a swift yet caring manner, and was surprised to see this in the crowded atmosphere typical of a Friday night. All the staff members of this branch were exceptional (in the service department) in all of my previous and current experience(s) here. It would later turn out, however, that the selection of âtakeawayâ at the self service counter unfortunately foreshadowed the foodâs despicable quality.
The chicken, chips and extras surprisingly managed to stay warm for the âtakeawayâ car ride home, something pleasing from Oporto, indicating a high temperature set in what could later be described as âthe warmerâ. The chicken was overcooked to such an extent that the contemporary âsaucesâ of Oporto were unable to be found at all in or outside of the chicken, something drastically different from previous experiences with the same Oporto chicken I had previously come to love. The dry texture, as a result of the continual long-term âwarmingâ that was likely the reason for the aforementioned fast serving time, made the chicken quite hard to eat overall, obviously lacking the âsoulâ, or in plain terms, âfreshnessâ, that is/was expected from Oporto. The chips were undercooked, with the texture resembling that of âsoggy potatoesâ, likely as a result of them not being fresh to begin with and âkept warmâ like its chicken complement. The generous amount of salt provided was the only thing that made them edible. The spicy rice was the only dish served that resembled anything of a culinary taste higher than the sweetness of the garlic sauce. That sauce was arguably the only thing that made the dish bearable on the whole. This is all quite disappointing, as I had come to expect a higher quality of food from Oporto considering past experiences which showcased excellent distribution of sauces and juicy, spicy textures, something that was completely lacking in this serving.
It is consequently clear that Oporto has proven itself to be a âhit and missâ chain store that is no higher than the likes of the very KFC and McDonaldâs it strives to distinguish itself from. While some previous experiences hinted otherwise, this one proved to be a shocking display of the true incompetence many have when cooking a chicken meal. With a texture far from the âjuicyâ promised and previously savoured, it becomes quite hard to recommend this chain...
Read moreI donât usually leave reviews, but Oporto Leppington absolutely deserves a 5-star shoutout. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by how clean and well-maintained the store was. The atmosphere was welcoming, the space was tidy, and the staff were on top of everything â friendly, professional, and clearly passionate about good service.
Now letâs talk about the food â wow. Everything was fresh, hot, and cooked to perfection. I ordered the Bondi Burger Meal, and it honestly tasted better than any other Oporto Iâve been to. The chicken was juicy, grilled just right with that signature Portuguese flavour, and the chilli sauce had the perfect kick without overpowering the other flavours. The chips were golden, crispy, and seasoned beautifully. You can tell they actually care about the quality of their food.
What really made the experience stand out though was the customer service. The team at the counter were polite, efficient, and had great energy. They handled a busy rush calmly and made sure everyone was looked after â no mix-ups, no delays. My order came out fast and accurate, and they even checked in to make sure everything was alright. You donât get that kind of attention to detail everywhere these days.
The whole experience felt like more than just grabbing fast food â it felt like a proper meal made by people who care. Whether youâre dining in, taking away, or doing drive-thru, youâll be taken care of here. Iâve been back a few times already, and itâs consistently great.
Big props to the management and the whole team at Oporto Leppington. If youâre in the area and craving fresh, tasty, flame-grilled chicken with top-tier service, this is the place to go....
Read moreI heard a local rumour that the bloke who owns this store is only a young bloke. If that's true, then kudos to that person for achieving something truly remarkable at such a young age!
Either way, whoever owns and runs this Oporto must really love what they do, and it definitely shows.
Having visited numerous Oporto locations, I can confidently say this is the best one I've ever encountered. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted at the door with a warm smile, setting the tone for what always becomes an impressive dining experience. The staff here operate with the professionalism and attentiveness of high-end restaurant workers, which elevates the entire atmosphere beyond that of a typical fast-food venue.
The cleanliness of the restaurant is always immediately noticeable; The food itself is always fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared. The chips, in particular, are always fresh and served piping hot, with the right amount of salt.
What truly sets this Oporto apart is the unexpected table service, which transforms a quick lunch into a memorable occasion. Rather than feeling rushed, I found myself savoring each moment, as the staff managed to seamlessly blend efficiency with a touch of elegance.
In conclusion, dining at this Oporto felt more like an experience than a simple meal. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for exceptional service and high-quality food in a comfortable, welcoming environment.
Best Oporto in...
