'XS Espresso' is Leppington Village's answer to 'Patissez Cafe' of Canberra.
Barista Shaheen is Western Suburbia's coffee-making master and I am going by his respective contributions to previous 'XS Espresso' cafes I had frequented at Prestons and Moorebank, so, it is such a bonus that he is working his magic out at Leppington.
Two visits were made, a week apart. The prospect of loaded coffees never disappoints: I'd ordered the Biscoff Latte for the first visit and the Caramilk Latte the weekend after. I can practically play with me' cuppa' as a dessert and enjoy the brew at the same time.
What I'd eaten were the 'XS Benedict' which is as formidable a Salmon Benny' as they come (with additional sides for tastier measure) and I pursued a healthier option of 'Pumpkin and Halloumi' with Falafel (which you can also order with Chicken or Prawns). Portion and taste rule the proverbial roost for me at cafes like 'XS Espresso'.
The desserts of 'XS Espresso' remain ever irresistable and for the first visit to Leppington's venue I indulged in the Pancakes, with their focus on berries, Canadian Maple and Belgian Chocolate. For the second visit I went for the French Toast, likening it greatly to a much-loved offering eaten at Camden, in 2019.
If you're venturing out Leppington way anytime soon, do pop by Leppington Village and give 'XS Espresso' a visit. It's the busiest cafe there for a reason and you are guaranteed to be rewarded for...
Read moreI am a regular customer of XS Café, especially for the coffee. I often visit various locations including Leppington and Gregory Hills, and I always choose XS Café over others.
Each time I order coffee, I usually ask for one marshmallow for my little boy. This has never been an issue at other locations. However, today around 4:15 PM at the Preston location, when I requested a marshmallow after receiving my coffee, the barista told me that marshmallows are only given with a babycino and that cookies are provided with coffee instead. While I understand if there is a specific policy at that location, I was not aware of it, as other XS CafĂ© branches have never charged me for a marshmallow. I donât mind paying for it at allâbut what upset me was the rude and unprofessional manner in which the barista responded.
I even told him I was happy to pay for it. Good customer service is about more than just policyâitâs about treating everyone with dignity, regardless of race or background. Weâre all human, and respect should always be shown to one another. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope you will take this feedback constructively and ensure all customers are treated with kindness and respect across all...
Read moreThe waitress was very rude, my dad gave the order to the server at the register and they had forgotten to put one meal in the bill.
When the food came out one persons plate was missing and the waitress immediately went on the defence and came out with the receipt saying it was not paid for. 25 minutes later the last plate arrived and we had already finished eating as a family.
When we all finished we walked up to leave and the waitress said âarenât you going to payâ in front of other customers and we responded by telling her we thought it would be ok since you guys forgot to put this on the order at the start and then we waited 25 minutes. The waitress abruptly said âoh so you donât want to pay for your foodâ and I said no thatâs not what Iâm saying, just stated most cafes would take accountability for their mistake and usually waive the order they forgot.
She then started to cut me off and said ok thatâs fine then just leave.
Was very embarrassing and unprofessional. Never coming...
