Absolutely disgusting service! The ladies serving were openly rude to me. There is a $10 minimum for eftpos and in a shop where the average price is about $4, I had to buy several unnecessary additional items just so I could pay and not waste the 10 minute walk I'd made to go there. Was $9.50 close enough to pay on savings during peak hour trade and a mile long line behind me? Nope, that was rewarded with a death stare and the two staff rolling their eyes at each other. This was not only rude but inconvenient as this store is located on a side road nowhere near an ATM and in this day and age where a lot of customers don't carry cash on them, I find this quite absurd to be honest! This was topped off by me happening to look back inside through the window when I was done eating, only to notice one staff member was openly staring at me laughing and then the other staff member looked at me and followed suit! Did not care I'd seen them and it was clear they were talking about me. As somebody who has worked in retail for many years this was an absolutely unacceptable level of rudeness from the staff and I for one wont be going back there ever again. Seriously...

Always has a smile on her face & I can tell you I am visiting more because I actually feel welcome at your place. I don't know if it's that or you've made slight adjustments in your recipes but I'm enjoying the pies more as well. I live close by so this is my new-ish regular pie place now.
Old Review: Pies are good. Better than the Sydney average which is pretty poor in my opinion. Agree with some of the other commenters - the ladies at the counter need to learn some customer service skills! I'm not expecting massive fake smiles but you should probably stop gass-bagging for a second to acknowledge a paying customer walking into your store.

These weren't the best pies we had in Sydney / New Zealand, but they were very tasty. They were full of filling, and the pasty was quite flaky. We tried a variety including a sausage roll, lamb, and steak. It was great they open early since we had a flight that landed just past 7am.
Service was great (we honestly found this to be the case for pretty much every place we went to). Prices seemed reasonable as well. It looks like Patchett's caters to a lot of places. While we were there, they had a small flow of people going into their store front. As a bonus, they have access to a private, clean, (but small) bathroom.
Do yourself a favor and...
