Good breakfast options, go the Buddha bowls if you want to be virtuous (kale, edamame, pumpkin, quinoa, carrot, gooey falafel and beetroot dip). Also tried the vegetarian board...extra points as it wasn't actually served in a wooden board. 👍 Bulgarian feta is an inspired choice giving just that little bit more oomph to the eggs, avocado, tomato and baguette. Cold batch coffee is actually a generous serving for the $5 price tag, unlike so many hipster coffee joints! Not too much ice either which was good. Other person dining with me ordered a vanilla milkshake, which came out in a massive milk jug ( see pictures for size). That was a bit overkill, but if you just wanted a snack and a drink all in one that would be good. The real star though, was the baguette. Never in my life have I had a baguette like this. No joke, it was a total revelation. The crust was crispy but not dry and flakey. Even without my hearing aids in I could hear an earth shattering crunch as I lightly broke the baguette. Soft on the side and not too thick in terms of the crust, it is everything I wanted in a baguette. It was so good we ordered one to take home. They have white, sourdough and multigrain. When we were handed the packet of joy, it was still warm and fresh from the oven. Honestly, I think every baguette until now has just been a shadow of this baguette. It is the baguette of Plato's world of...

You know that moment in the movie Ratatouille when Anton Ego is critiquing Remy and Linguine's 'peasant dish'? Ego raises a forkful of steaming vegetables to his mouth, takes a bite and the taste of the dish fires up his senses. His eyes widen into a stare, and he steps back in time to a dreamy flashback of comfort bathed in warm light, as his mother serves him up the same dish. Well that's how I felt with the first mouthful of the Pottery Green Bakers Baked Eggs.

Delightfully served in a copper pan, the perfect poached eggs are nestled in a flavourful tomato sauce with chorizo, feta, and the perfect amount of juicy olives. On the side is a baguette, it's chewy and the interior is airy with a crisp, deep-golden crust, warmed just enough and perfect for soaking up the leftover sauce. My guest ordered simple scrambled eggs, that were playfully twisted into a tornado and served with sourdough. Again, cooked to perfection. The coffee was delicious. Our server was attentive, patient and friendly.

Easily my new favourite weekend breakfast/brunch spot. Hats off to the kitchen. I am salivating just thinking about...

I've been politely resisting this review for some time, but today is the day. I go to Pottery Green in a pinch for a take away coffee when other places are closed or inconvenient, or occasionally to grab a quick lunch. Unfortunately, it is a constant experience that my (take away) order goes missing and I wait for 15-20 minutes and have to follow up. It's not uncommon to wait this long for a take away coffee, too (even when they haven't lost the order).

I appreciate they are in a spot with no competing cafes to reduce the peak load, but this happens at all hours.

Today, I paid $18 for a salmon and brie baguette, only to have my order lost (again), wait over 15 minutes, only for them to hurriedly throw together what is pictured below with a coin-sized piece of brie as what I can only assume was a garnish.

Please bring the game up at least a bit. Maybe even just one full slice of brie...
