I honestly cannot rate this restaurant more! They were outstanding from start to finish. I first sat with Sarah and discussed what I wanted for my son’s christening and there was nothing she couldn’t do and on top of it, it was all so easy. Her communication was 10/10, her service, the way she just makes you feel so incredibly comfortable and everything was always relayed back and confirmed. I am so super glad I got to have my first child’s event at Saluti. I’d do it again and again. She sat with myself and my sister and went through absolutely everything with the menu and gave us the confidence we needed with our guest of 40, ensuring that everyone will be left full with left overs which is exactly what happened. Sarah, I can’t thank you enough and it was a blessing to have you help me turn this event into the most meaningful day for us. On the actual day, Tyra, Antonella and another wonderful staff member (who at the end shared that she was only in her role for two weeks and was only 15) gave us the most splendid service. Absolutely everything ran smoothly even when ordering 50 coffees lol Antonella would make an appearance and ensure all expectations were being met and if there was anything else I needed whilst the other two girls Tyra and the other lovely staff ensured that no coin was left unturned. Everything was perfect!! from the food, to the timing, to the servings to each of them running things by me and it was only things that needed addressing everything else was taken care of which it had allowed me to enjoy the day with my husband and our family’s. I keep trying to remember the young girl that worked there’s name because I feel rude that I’ve forgotten but each of you made a world of a difference and it just made me want to come and enjoy Saluti again even for a quiet coffee. Thank you for making my son’s day a wonderful day! Thank you for being prompt and punctual, delivering and exceeding our expectations and for showing love and kindness with a smile always. You left the sweetest taste in not only my mouth but all of our guests too and we are thankful and grateful for your wonderful service. All the best and see you soon! X...
Read moreFood was great. Don't get me wrong, I would return just because I enjoyed the food a lot! The burramandi was great, so were the mussels. I enjoyed it a lot. But service let it down. To start with, we had 2 staff members covering only their mouths with their masks but not their nose. I had them at less than a meter from me when servicing the table! The front of house can see them as they were walking like this all over the place, but nothing was done the entire afternoon. Where was the manager or COVID manager assigned staff member? The gnocchi had quite a bit chilli but was written in Italian in the menu, so the guest chose it and had to return it as she cannot eat spicy food. It was not specified in the menu in English thus it was believed to be non-spicy. The cafe replaced it at no cost, which was expected and appreciated. However as Saluti cooks their meals fresh, it took a while to come out. Not a problem there, we understood. The replacement meal was really good, and freshly made. But I could not believe my eyes when the staff started to take all plates off the table, and left the only guest that had to wait for her food eating on a table cleared of plates, on her own. That's not done. Plates are removed when everyone is finished!. I was talking to someone when my plate and cutlery was removed, but left my broccolini plate as it had some in it still. After a while the staff asked if I had finished with it. I responded, "well, I can't eat it as my eating plate and cutlery has already been cleared. I am not going to use my hands". I got no response, nothing. She just picked the plate up and left with it. Come on Saluti, you got a great place, and great food. All you need is Service to match. Also, teach your staff to wear their masks covering both mouth and nose. It's a requirement for you to do business. Food, location and restaurant in general I give a 4.5. I was impressed. But you get a 0.5 or less for the lack of service an a 0 for lack of COVID responsibility and care. Makes me wonder what other COVID shortcuts may...
Read moreHad the most amazing experience at Saluti today for Mother’s Day lunch. Food was above expectation. Spinach and Ricotta Ravioli were amazing! 👌👌👌
We regularly dine at fine dining restaurants over our time and service today was on point. My husband had his own fine dining restaurant so he is a hard critic but he couldn’t credit the place more today especially his service from the waiter G.
I have noticed comments below of people complaining about being charged for people who didn’t show and that is standard practice today. Clearly they haven’t booked at good restaurants recently.
When you make a booking online, you have to put your creditcard details down and if you don’t show up, it gets charged. That is standard practise these days.
There was also plenty of marketing for the Mother’s Day bookings that clearly stated it was a set menu… 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️. Obviously they would have seen some kind of promotion material that lead them to make the booking in the first place? It’s been all over social media. I find it hard to believe any truth in these reviews especially being in the same location today 🤪
So, if I compare the menu today to what I had at a fine dining restaurant in Fairfield last week…. That I paid triple the price for….I got a lot more for my money today at Saluti..
Then there is another comment about today being so loud from a Greek guy?? I am not sure if this guy was at the same location as the rest of us??? I was there with a party of 23 people and it certainly wasn’t loud.. maybe you should go to Bayti in Parramatta Champ… that’s what you call loud! And your Greek, you guys smash plates at your restaurant?
Keep up the Great work Saluti. Got no idea what these people are talking about but maybe they should stick to Golden Archers because that where you find hidden rubbish in your food. No idea what they are talking about with hidden fees either… I got more than I paid for!
Love the place and the service and will...
