EDITED IN RESPONSE TO CAFE OWNER (see below original post)
If you like paying $18 for 1 slice of toast with avocado,3 slices of tomato, the stingiest amount of goats cheese and dukkah, a tiny drizzle of honey, and an egg youâve come to the right place. Also if youâre vegetarian and wanting to substitute bacon for halloumi be prepared to pay extra to remove bacon. Even though bacon and halloumi are charged at $4 as extras you canât do a substitution.
Oh and letâs not forget the very sub par service. Wait staff didnât offer table water or inform us whether they had self serve jugs and cups and were pushy for us to order drinks even though my partner said that she wasnât going to order any when initially asked.
Thank goodness we didnât waste too much money here and were able to use the dine and discover vouchers.

I actually eat at many local/community based cafes and I can tell you that your place is both overpriced and the wait staff are lazy.
if youâre not doing table service for water at least tell your customers that water can be found inside. We were seated outside and could not see it was self service. Weâre not regulars so we donât know that the go is.
fair point on the bacon and halloumi substitution but at least explain that to the customer instead of just saying that will be $4 and leaving it at that. And like you said you donât have a lot of vegetarian options so obviously we needed to âdoctorâ your bacon and egg roll because nothing else was appealing.
Lastly donât complain about it being a public holiday. At the end of the day it was your choice to be open and to operate. You could have chosen to stay closed but instead you wanted the cash so you chose to open. Regardless of the day the review would have been the same from me. At the end of the day you can do what you like but this is honest feedback from someone who eats around the area and if you donât like it...
Read moreStumbled across this little cafe as we wanted to go out for breakfast and our local in Epping was closed, so looked up Seven Valleys Cafe on Google maps and saw all the great reviews, which we soon discovered were very well warranted.
The cafe is small - but with plenty of outdoor seating - and has a nice, rustic feel to it with the sanded back wooden furniture and displayed artwork and preserved flowers.
We ordered the eggs Benedict for my wife, Americans French toast for myself and kids French toast for our 2 year old son.
The food took a little while to be prepared, bit not unacceptably long, with our coffees/babycino delivered promptly while we waited.
Presentation of our dishes was spectacular, especially for the kids French toast, which would have to be the best kids meal I think weâve ever seen.
All the food was really tasty. I donât normally order French toast, but it looked great on the menu, and I am glad I got it as it was a truly enjoyable meal.
The staff were all friendly and attentive, so everything considered I really canât fault this cafe.
Weâll definitely be back, without a thought of the short drive from Epping as Iâd probably even still make the trip if it took half an hour...
Read moreOVERALL COMMENT: This cafe shows promise with its use of quality ingredients. The inconsistent portion sizes, inconsistent pricing between menu items and lacking of small details are its downfall. Not an overly bad experience, but not a standout one either.
MY COMMENT: Eggs Benedict + Sticky Chai + Halloumi Side & Mushroom Side
The eggs were nicely poached and the bacon was cooked well as it wasnât too crispy, nor too undercooked. The amount of hollandaise was sufficient and the flavour was standard. The side of halloumi was served cold and was not appropriately grilled. The mushrooms were watery, bland and lacking seasoning. The sticky chai was standard.
COMPANION COMMENT: Signature Wrap + Hot Chocolate
The wrap was good as it used quality ingredients and was served hot. The advertised hollandaise sauce didnât contribute to the meal whatsoever. The hot chocolate was standard. The cost did not justify the miniature...
