Connoisseur Cafe by Design. I was introduced to S.O.M. Shot On Military cafe in 2019 by a friend, have been going there since. What a treat to any coffee lover enjoying not only the coffee & tea taste, which the owners Steven Wang & Bijoux Xu source from sought after trade fairs, and also the premises ambience, rustic spiced with a modern touch that makes one feel just GREAT. As you walk in, you’re greeted by a contagious smile of Pat, welcoming words that make you feel special & stay with you day in & out. The coffee varieties are expertly prepared by the barista Janevit Ace – masterpieces of their own merits. I was first introduced to SOM when I moved to cremorne. Good coffee, good food, great vibes. Over lockdowns, i got introduced to their sticky chai which is out of the world and the yummiest menu. It became a regular!

Now despite having moved out of the area almost 1.5 years, we still make it a habit to visit because no one does sticky chai quite like Steven! And the food is utterly delectable. I can not recommend the lox enough - on eggs Benny or a bagel! A stellar shout out from today's meal was also the mushroom toastie - divine!

Excellent quality coffee and great vibe - however I have been told that 70% good coffee is in the MAKING, the other 30% is the bean quality - the one problem with Shot on Military is INCONSISTENT baristas. The lady on the weekends is excellent but the weekday lady is inconsistent. Recommend that the owner needs to have all baristas trained to the same top standard. Your business will likely double if you accept this recommendation and train the weekday...
