The revamped former Kiosk at Clareville has re-emerged and still offers that quality flavour and impact of surprise. We hadn't been to the Kiosk - now renamed the Clareville - for a number of years and were so happy to see it reopen. The food is sublime, and made us feel sated as the flavours and innovative approach to food was a stand out. Sydney has a very competitive restaurant scene and this restaurant is up there with the best. But the Clareville is one of those unique ones that stands out for its bold new flavours and impeccable presentation. When the chef is also the owner of the restaurant you can taste the passion and the purpose of his cooking. We had the trout for entree - divine, fresh and wonderfully enough. For mains I chose the special of the day; two whole grilled flatheads still in their skin - the aroma of the grill was amazing. My dining partner chose the grain fed sirloin. But the piece de resistance, with the whole dinner being flawless, was the garlic whipped butter with crunchy shallots to accompany the bread. I could have wolfed down two portions of this it was so comforting, delicious and textured. The service was wonderful, the waiters so attentive and personal. It does get a little bit noisy with revellers on the table behind us, as the cottage is in its original state and the noise bounces, but it mattered not - we enjoyed the Saturday night up the northern beaches and will be sure to dine...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy fiancĆ© and I visited here for Valentineās Day celebrations. We were incredibly impressed by everything and will be visiting again for sure.
Firstly, itās located in a lovely location. Quiet and surrounded by nature, with only a 20 second walk to the beach.
The layout of the restaurant did not make us feel cramped nor was it too loud we couldnāt hear one another.
The food was incredible. We shared a lot of dishes Sourdough with butter An oyster with dressing Scallop Kingfish Pumpkin croquettes Leak dumplings Duck lāorange Burrata roasted tomato pasta Chocolate mousse with raspberry and liquorice ice cream.
All of it was exceptional, presented beautifully and tasted even better! Stand outs would have been the Oyster (could have had 30) Leak dumplings and the chocolate mousse.
We also had a few cocktails each (which were lovely) and wine.
While the overall experience was costly it was very much worth it and neither of us felt like it was surprising due to how...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at a new restaurant that left me in awe. It's one of the most beautiful dining spaces I've ever visited, creating a perfect ambiance for a memorable meal.
The food truly stole the show. The appetizers were a revelation, with the oysters delivering explosive flavors and the mussels offering a refreshing touch. The ocean trout confit was particularly noteworthy, showcasing the chef's skill and creativity.
For the main course, I savored the duck and pork mains, both of which were simply exquisiteāso tender they melted in the mouth.
And then, the desserts. Each one was a delightful end to an exceptional mealāabsolutely delicious and beautifully presented.
Service was impeccable, enhancing the overall experience. I highly recommend making a reservation, as the intimate setting and limited seating mean this spot will book up quickly.
Thank you for an unforgettable...
