FOOD: I appreciate the effort made to cater for my requirements but the alternative offered for my pasta sauce ( white wine and oil) was not pleasant and far too much oil was put with my meal. The other half of the oil bottle appeared to be on my sisters garlic bread which I did not eat. The meal was edible after travelling all day but if I hadn't been as tired and hungry and actually had time to eat something else after realising all the tables were reserved, I probally wouldn't have eaten it.
STAFF/Communication : I also felt pressured to eat and go as the reservation signs are not clearly visible when you walk in ( they are laid flat on the table instead of upright. Why?Perhaps placing them in front of the menu standing upright where people can see it easier would be better? ) so we ordered before we realised ( and were not informed by staff or asked if we had a reservation when ordering ) so had to scoof it down before the reservations arrived. Perhaps if the blonde bar maid/ waitress wasn't distracted by fighting with one chef and flirting with the other she could have told us?
SPEED: The food came out quick enough considering the alterations to the menu and how busy they were.
FRESHNESS: The food was made to order instead of being pre-made specials. Although I didn't enjoy the alternative I was offered it's good that the food is made fresh and that it was possible to offer an alternative.
MANAGEMENT: I gave them a second star as they bothered to reply to my initial review so they obviously care about the business but need to take constructive criticism when a customer is giving them advice to help them improve their business. Yes I essentially got what I asked for by accepting the alternative offered when I asked for adjustments to the menu and yes I ate it because I was hungry after travelling all day but I was not expecting half the bottle of oil on the plate. My sister had the other half on her plate so maybe inform the chef that I appreciated the effort but they needed to cut back on the oil overall. I included feedback on things such as staff relations and reservation signs in my original review as they can be used to improve the business and customer experiences in the future.

This place is open till 12 . There are deals for lunch and also deals based on days. We came on Monday and had 2 for 4 deal and I had basically to only pay for one meal. The food was amazing, the steak was cooked to perfection , the pasta had great taste and well cooked, chicken parmigiana was served delicious and the chips on the side had amazing flavor. We had to reorder the chips. There is great option for vegetarians in this tavern. Highly recommend this place to individuals, groups and family.
