I love this little cafe, it’s truely a hidden gem , Kim makes everything that is in on the menu , As you walk in the door you,are greeted by not just a lovely warm welcome from the staff but the mouth watering smell of beautifull soup freshly made that morning ,usually a choice of 2 different soups some times three ,served piping hot with toasted sour dough the soup is so full of veggies ,and a complete meal on its own. However the menu is very tempting, especially the home made pies ,which I often buy frozen and take home .There is a lovely selection of toasties, and a couple of choices for a heartier meal, plus a selection of cakes ,and scones all made in house that morning .There is a selection of takeaway food but I love to sit in the cafe and soak up,the beautiful atmosphere of this unique place with its cosy woodheater ,it’s very reminiscent of visiting your grandmothers house and eating her beautiful cooking, visiting Sealys shop is such a feel good experience .the food is real comfort food non pretentious or fancy and well priced . Treat yourself to a visit to sealys at Bothwell and enjoy Kim,s fabulous home cooking and hospitality . I can’t speak highly enough...

She really enjoyed this also. For once, the sourdough crust wasn't tooth-breakingly hard. Wish more places could serve sourdough like this.
Coffee was pretty good too.
The owner (and I assume her daughter) was very helpful with local knowledge. Had an interesting chat with her about Tassie whiskies and distilleries. The shop has a bit of historic memorabilia in there, along with lots of little gifts to buy.
Only criticism was that it was quite cold in there. They had a woodfire going near the counter, but it wasn't heating up the rest of the cafe very well. It was a particularly cold day outside though.
If you're passing through Bothwell, drop in for a visit and a...

After doing a lap around town, Sealy's Store was a chance encounter on Easter Monday after spotting one of the signs on the footpath.
Stopping in to grab a coffee from this cosy store (along with everyone else passing through), we were pleased with the hospitality offered by both ladies & the fire that was warming myself and a couple of other travellers was just what was needed.
The pies, however were the most imperfect, tastiest, home made pies I have ever had. Watching them come out of the oven & into the pie warmer whilst waiting for coffee was a highlight of the day. Recommend the Venison Pie over all.
