The Bridport Bunker Club — Restaurant in Tasmania

We were here a couple of months ago and loved the place. We came back last weekend driving from Cradle Mountain as we loved the food. New owners have taken over and the service has gone down hill. All they want to do is get you sat down and out of the place as quickly as possible. Four different waitresses served us this evening. The first sat us down gave us the menus and stood there until we ordered our drinks then wanted the food order as well. We told her to come back in a few minutes then an other waitress came for the order. Food was served 12 mins later and the desert board put in front of us as the plates were cleared by another waitress. I was just putting my nearly empty drink glass down and another waitress appeared and took it away. We said we wanted at least a 10 min wait before ordering desert but this did not stop them keep asking for the order. Absolutely the best meal we have had in Tasmania. Dined at some highly rated and expensive steak houses in Hobart and they could all learn a tip here. Absolutely every component was perfect. Perfect steak, sauce, chip and salad. Everything was super fresh and beautiful. Do not drive past this gem. All staff members were welcoming and helpful. They actually were happy to see you there. We went for dinner at the Bunker Club in Bridport. The atmosphere was great and the location of the restaurant is fantastic! The service was prompt and the waitresses were all very friendly and kind and happy to answer any questions we had regarding the menu.

The food we ordered came out fairly quickly and although it is a little bit expensive, the quality was good and fresh. The potion sizes were very good. For entree we ordered the sourdough share plate and for mains we ordered the crispy chicken breast and the seafood chowder. Both...
