REVIEW RESPONSE - I am not a disgruntled employee and gathering by your previous 1 star reviews and responses, you cannot take anything on board from your customers. So, keep on taking advantage of holiday makers all you can, as a large amount of locals have already caught on at your negativity, poor food and service.
Also, you have frozen hashbrowns bro. The key ingredient for a potato hash stack on your menu..... make your own hash's, its super simple, it's potato. Purchased hashbrowns are cheap, full of nasties and hardly worth $23.
I also never said it was someone that worked there that served themself a beer, they must have been a friend/or family member. Wasn't a great look but that is the least of the concerns.
It's not a horrible review, its fair, stating facts of what was seen and experienced over many occasions. Report all you like, probably should get the platform correct first, this is Google, not Facebook.... Regardless, the review will stay and you will still blame everyone else for a dismal experience and maintain the status quo.
Also, super curious why you would suspect disgruntled employee, based on on how you deal with feedback, must be a few on the list. Have a good one

Can someone else also please be honest with the owners how shocking this cafe is now. Not only do you wait average 30 mins for a takeaway coffee (sometimes longer) I have given this place a chance, like so many other locals so many chances to be better as it's great to have a cafe here in Bridport but, c'mon.
The food quality is shocking, processed and bland. I never mind paying a lot if its tastes great, presented well and isn't processed frozen hashbrowns on a hash stack for example.
Just to grab a takeaway drink is tedious, on a couple of occasions, only two small tables in the whole cafe and both times have watched staff do everything but process takeaway drinks at snail pace. The place looks drab, run down and just an overload of stuff everywhere when you walk in the door, that attributes to it looking a mess.
I even saw someone come out from behind the kitchen serving themselves beers in the AM. It feels intimidating to say something when you are there as no one exactly feels approachable or happy to be there.
I long for the days of a lovely coffee with a smile and look forward to a healthy brunch here but it seems those...
Read moreWanted a piece of toast added to my 36$ breakfast, wanted $4.50 for 1 piece. Not available for breakfast after 11am. How hard is it to cook eggs on toast after 11. Nice and trendy and happy crystals, but no service and unable to keep customers. See ya
Hello again, thanks for your reply. I have the correct cafe. A few questions,
How much is an extra piece of bread with your breakfast menu? If you can confirm, i think you will say honestly, $4.50.
Mushrooms and spinach added? 9 dollars. Also 4.50 each. Correct? Or maybe it is $4 each.. you can correct me
I believe it was approx 11.15am when i asked for breakfast. Attendee had to ask the kitchen, which yes, they could but a "better be quick" or similar reply. Im paying for my meal and i wont be told to conform to your best practice of what suits your buisness. Its actually my buisness, to get breakfast after nightworks, its hard enough for me to eat decent meals without rushing down to meet your deadlines. We have a crew of 3 people, staying mon-fri eating at your cafe for breakfast, a total of 5 breakfasts per week, at $30 each. Do the math. We are there for 6 weeks. Do more math. I dont want to argue about a piece of toast when we are essentially paying $2,700 to your buisness over 6 weeks. I think for that cost, you could heat up eggs in a pan at any time of day. Same with toast. Same with most of it. Best for me to go elsewhere you say. This is only on principle, as our meals are paid for by company, so not even our personal cost. You have to think long term to be sucessful. Or, either your buisness IS GOING so well, you dont need any further customers; which is unlikely for a buisness plan. All the best...
Read moreThe Bridport Cafe is the most popular Cafe in Bridport, one of many reasons would have to be the magnificent Villeno Coffee. Made in Tasmania. The decor is modern-eclectic, with amazing art on the wall, made from tea & coffee stains, by a local artist. The table and chairs, range from rustic to modern, a huge corner lounge sofa makes for extra comfort, if tables not required. On another wall a "Life Lesson Mural" all creating a quirky ambience. From an excellent fresh creative menu we chose, an Apricot, walnut & rye fruit toast, with honey and summer fruit. A Smoked Salmon, poached eggs, rocket and hollandaise. Both were nutritious and very tasty. Say no more the coffee would have to be the best on the North East Coast. We ate out side at street level, in a covered Al Fresco area. The word is on a Friday evening this cafe morphs into fine dining, with a live band. Bookings are essential. We have decided to...
