Being a long way from anywhere, this little Cafe is a sight for sore eyes especially after a long drive when that caffeine need kicks in. What looks like a house has conveniently turned its front porch into an inviting momentary rest stop. We were impressed with the unique and wide selection of food choices. The Chicken, pesto & basil sandwich was very delicious but in places very cold (bordering frozen). The almond lattes were really good, which is often hard to achieve when in a take away cup. The company of the occasional chicken and the cranky looking Llama made our visit fun and provides an opportunity for a selfy if you feel that way inclined. The gentleman behind the counter was very personable and invites a good joke. Although the experience here was mainly positive, the cafe is still just someone’s porch and becomes very crowded quickly with not much space to socially distance. 3 to 3.5 stars, certainly worth calling in

After a long drive from Strahan, we found this little cottage about 45 minutes away from Cradle Mountain and thought a nice short break will be nice. The owner is a lovely chap and very personable. Not my usual choice, I got the jelly chesse cake and I don't regret it, it was yummy!! The soy chai latte was very nicely spiced, it was such a great idea to have stopped here. If you are on your way to Cradle Mountain, do stop here, you'll be surprised.

What was meant to be a quick stopover for a bite and a drink turned into a surprise date with a handsome and sassy alpaca named Cleveland. Stewart the owner was lovely and welcoming, and whipped up great drinks for us within a minute of ordering. The pies were hot and delicious also. If you’re passing through to or from Queenstown, we highly recommend stopping by for a bite and to say hello to Cleveland (and Stewart of course).

Without a doubt the worst coffee I had in my whole year living in Tassie. I don't know where all these good reviews come from. Old mate must of just been off his game the day I came here. Still no excuses though. Coffee just tasted like hot water. I couldn't taste the coffee which normally makes it taste milky but worst I couldn't taste any milk. Like he used trim instead of full cream but forgot to pour the shots in. It was so strange. I was the only one there and yet he seemed flustered. Ended up waiting longer than needed because He said he had to make the coffees before doing the food instead of just letting the food heat up in the background whilst simultaneously making coffee so they ready at the same time? It's not rocket science. Food was nice but...

This is a small kiosk basically with a few seating options on the high side of the road.

Families - go to Tullah Lakeside Lodge instead which is family friendly with a safe place to sit and/or play on the grass overlooking the lake with a large selection of food and beverages.

We had an unexpected bizarre and confrontational encounter with my children at this roadside cafe. It’s already challenging traveling with young people, the last thing needed is to feel hassled.

Also anyone with mobility issues should also give this a miss because it’s either a steep trail or several steep steps to get to the...
