Steve's Pizza House — Restaurant in Thirlmere

This is the first time I've written a review, EVER, but the food was THAT bad I was forced into writing a review about it!

Ordered a rack of pork ribs and some Texas Chips. Was quite hungry and was looking forward to eating, but WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT it was!!!

Ribs were supposed to be "marinated and oven cooked in Steve's Sauce". It was definitely NOT marinated and definitely NOT oven cooked!!! It was more like it was boiled for a few hours, then sauce was poured over it! Absolutely tasteless!

Then came the Texas Chips! Just wooooow! I actually can't believe they sold me this tbh! The Chips were cold and rubbery! The cheese was melted, but melted from like 2 days ago! You could actually lift the blanket of "melted cheese and bacon" off the Chips! It honestly felt like these Texas chips were sitting in the warmer for a couple of days, then they just packed it up and sold it when it was ordered!

Then to top it off, I ordered and paid for some condiments, and none came with my order!!! Joke!

I wish I could give ZERO stars for this joint! Deadset disappointing and disgraceful that they are allowed to sell this kind of...

Tonight both pizza's arrived cold, thin and under cooked - very disappointing!

If you order online, expect to be delayed. Every time we order, we receive a phone call advising late delivery. Appreciate the call, but why accept payment for online orders if you can't deliver? This time we even called before ordering online and was advised of a 40 minute wait. Proceeded to order online, then received a phone call immediately after confirmation advising the food will be late!? Well over an hour! Talk about misleading customers.

Time previous we ordered online, it was late, then arrived with multiple missing items, only to arrive another hour later.

Customer service needs a shake up & meals need to be vetted before hitting the road.

Unfortunately, we'll be giving this place a miss...

We used to eat from here once a week.. Last excuse was no dough. Seriously???? Who's managing this establishment? A 5 year old.... Service has taken a big nose dive in more recent times. Food quality has dropped off quite a bit too disappointingly. Home delivery is just a very looooong wait. 2hrs at times! I believe and still would say, easily the best pizzas in the area. However you may not get what you want. If you do you may wait for quite sometime. Covid seems to have taken its toll on this establishment sadly. Disappointing to change a 5 star review to a 1 star. It's hard to compare the previous years with the current one....
