We had the absolute pleasure of visiting The Bake Shop, and it was nothing short of phenomenal—a truly surprising experience. We ordered the beef and chorizo pie, and it was perfection. The pastry was divine: sturdy enough to hold its shape but delicate enough to melt away with every bite. And the filling? Generous, rich, and so perfectly cooked and seasoned that it practically dissolved in your mouth. If you’re low on iron, one of these pies might just fix you up in no time! Without exaggeration, it was the best pie we've ever had. However, we left with one lingering regret. While waiting in line, the person ahead of us ordered "the famous sausage roll," only to be told they were sold out. Disappointed, he opted for the beef and chorizo pie. But then, the magic happened. The baker overheard the exchange and came out to announce that fresh sausage rolls were just about ready. His excitement was contagious as he immediately ordered two. Now, if he was willing to forgo this pie - a perfect pie - what level of legendary must these sausage rolls be?! We’ll be stopping back tomorrow to find out! Thank you, The Bake Shop, for an unforgettable experience. We can’t wait to return!

OMG. So happy we decided to drive the extra bit, to stop here! As a ceoliac, it's often a challenge to find any bakery that caters well to me. Let alone in a tiny country town! Should for choice, staff have family members who are ceoliac, so they are all over it. Quiche, slice, sausage roll, brownies (non ceoliac hubby had this.. "excellent, dense, moist, delicious" . I'm also dairy free, so the lemon tart was perfect. Could taste the fresh lemon , delicious pastry case. Almost forgot to take a photo. We had almost finished... The 2 items completely filled the container before we attacked them. Lol. They bake everything in store, including fresh sourdough loaves. They are sadly not open some weekends, but they said check their socials, as sometimes they do a Saturday morning. This will now be our go-to, on our regular trips to Melbourne. Oh we actually only stopped for coffees.... They were great too. Also had a huge range of other non gf deliciousness, for those not dietary challenged.

I wish I could give this place more stars, so totally unexpected in Tintinara. Had a great superb (and I am a coffee snob lol), delicious food, the staff were lovely, the ambiance was just SO relaxing, and I even did some of my Christmas shopping there! I wish this place was my local. If you’re driving out that way, give all the other places a miss and head straight for here, you won’t be disappointed!

I feel SO LUCKY to have such an amazing little shop in our hometown! The staff are all so lovely. I don't often have alot of options being Coeliac but The Bake Shop always has a great range of GF options available both sweet and savoury. Perfect spot for a catch up over coffee and I certainly reccomend anyone passing through to support these guys, stop in & grab a great coffee and something delicious! My only complaint is that they can't open every day of the week, but it certainly makes it worth it on the days...
