Shocking experience had by myself and Family yesterday. Had rung and booked a table for 5. Asked at time of booking if a small dog could be accommodated out the back and told YES. Arrived early and sat out front to not cause any disquiet with Pup. Only to have Smoke from Smokers all over us. Wore Masks, tried to sign in but was told only on phone. Which was later seen to have been brought back as pen and paper. Son ordered Meals and thought we would go out to back area but Daughter-in-law was refused entry carrying small pup through to outside. Had to eat meals separately. With people Vaping out back. Had I been told NO a small dog could not be taken there would not have booked it the first instant. Never been so insulted in my life before. This day also being 1st time seeing Family in Two years. We have lived in Terranora for over 21 years and have spent quite an amount of money in this area over the years including Weddings and Birthday Parties etc with Family and never had anything like this treatment before. Food was uncooked on one Serving as well to make matters worse. Hope all his helps with the next unsuspecting customers. Suggest ….. in Future. You have in your Advertising ……Smokers Allowed...

A pub that can't cook a steak to order is about as useful as a pub with no beer. That was my experience, my medium steak had not the slightest suggestion of pink. They did offer to redo, but I had an appointment across the border, and no time to wait for a reprise, a refund was immediately given, and I was on my way hungry but not late. Don't recall hearing anything like an apology. There were no more than 30 odd people in the place at the time, most just drinking, so they weren't busy. Too many good pubs just down the road so won't bother again. No idea what their other menu items are like and don't plan on finding out. Was pretty hungry, really in the mood for a steak and thought it would be nice to look at the river whilst eating. The River-view in Murwillumbah just down the road a few K's has a good view too, and last time I ate there the steak was done properly. 2 STARS FOR WASTING MY TIME AND GOING HUNGRY FOR THE NEXT...

Went for lunch today and I ordered the Crumbed Lamb Cutlets with Chips and Salad, but was so disappointed in the Cutlets. They were so overcooked, I think they dropped in the deep fryer and forgot about them. The crumb on all 3 Cutlets was that burnt I could hardly get the knife through them, and the Lamb itself inside was extremely overcooked as well. Now as an avid meat eater, especially Lamb, I eat them alot and certainly know how Crumbed Cutlets should be cooked and not incinerated. Everyone elses food at our table was said to be very enjoyable, but I was the only one who ordered the Cutlets, and everyone commented on how burnt my Cutlets were and that I should have sent them back, but as we were on limited time anyway, I didn't bother. All in all, the staff were great, service was great, atmosphere was great, other food at our table was great, just the cook or chef on the day, failed miserably in cooking the Crumbed...

Have been here twice both on a busy Easter Monday and had fantastic meals on both occasions so decide to write a review. We had the seafood platter for one, Caesar salad + prawns, Prawn and Avocado bake, and pumpkin and beetroot salad with chicken, followed by warm apple pie and ice cream. Every single dish was fresh and tasty. Plenty of dining and bar space inside and out beside the lovely river. Service was prompt, courteous and efficient but staff didn’t go out of their way to be personable which is likely due to the busy lunch period. We will definitely be back and recommend this to diners of all ages and palates.

Wonderful old restored pub on the bank of the Tweed River (actually across the small road). Great place to sit and relax & watch the occasional riverboat or dolphins go by . Very friendly staff & has a good lunch with blackboard specials daily at reasonable prices, Seafood Platters only available Fri, Sat & Sun. We had Prawn, Avacado Bake w/- Chips & Salad. Excellent, We can definitely recommend. I suggest midweek for a quieter experience as gets very busy on weekends & a lot of motorcycle riders seem to find it a popular stop off point .

Very busy tavern with plenty of seating. And a large outdoor for families and children. Meal prices were more than expensive than I expected. Cost us nearly 100$ for two meals and standard drinks. Ribs were tender with a great flavour. Snitz was nice. The side veggies & mash were average. Honestly expected more than carrots and a piece of broccoli for the side veggies. Meals did take a long time to come out, unsure if that’s normal or just unfortunate for us. Drinks bar did have a long line, yet service was friendly and efficient.
