The Oven Door Bakery and Café — Restaurant in Two Rocks

So I have been here twice now I wanted to give the joint a second go before posting a review, both times I have visited, tho have been very disappointing.

First visit I got a sausage roll and custard tart the sausage roll tasted like it had been bought frozen and heated up in a microwave and the flavours were so bland. The custard tart was ok but again not very flavoursome just super basic.

The second time I stopped in I grabbed a pie hoping maybe it was just the sausage rolls were bad. Oh how wrong I was, I got a cheese pie and boy was it foul I think my first assumption of stock being brought in from elsewhere and being reheated is dead right there were no redeeming features of this pie and it made it to the bin before I made it back to my truck.

I can't speak to the bread here but the hot food and for the price is not worth it at all and the pastries are all right but probably won't go back to try any more after these experiences.

I'll stick to Mardi Gras in Yanchep...

What a amazing selection of goodies at a reasonable price. As we travel around the country, we usually stop off at a bakery for morning tea & today we came across the Oven door. It has one of the best selections of cakes I have come across in our travels & at very reasonable prices. It was really hard to make a choice, but with a little help from the wonderful lady serving, I went for the home made cannoli Devil which was delicious. Our take home was whole meal rolls for dinner and a loaf of special grain bread for lunch, all lived up to expectations. The only down side was the coffees, not sure what is happening with their coffee machine, but it is certainly not in line with the rest of the goodies coming out of the oven door. A really cute little place. Staff were nice and friendly. The food options were great. Breads all looked good and fresh. They had around 10 different pies and two types of sausage rolls.

The desserts were also pretty good, would recommend the coffee eclairs.

It was pretty affordable too. Loads of places to sit around from the store as well. Beautiful views and an all round...
