Nourish Cafe & Grocer — Restaurant in Valla Beach

We’ve been coming up to this part of NSW for years and this cafe kills the competition every time. They always nail the coffee and the food is fresh and tasty. We really appreciate the kids menu too which is a real bonus for our 4 year old. Even on Easter Sunday the service was fast and delivered with a smile. There’s no point going anywhere else for the rest of this holiday break. Keep up the great work.

Update: Easter Monday and we had a very rude experience with an older lady who appeared to be a manager or owner. We were told we could sit at some benches by a lovely waitress only to have this miserable manager give us grief for sitting at the bench because a small delivery had arrived with bags placed nearby. She then quizzed me demanding “which girl said you could sit here?’ Then walked off in a huff. Really bad form and soured our otherwise good...

Had our hopes us with this one but left with a very sour taste in the mouth. The options were great, food looked delicious but the customer service was horrible. The woman on the coffee machine should be ashamed of herself. Extremely two faced and was kind enough to me but as I left to go outside after ordering my coffee, she acted out of hand towards my partner. Typical cowardly manouvre. Wouldn’t say anything whilst I was there and chirped up when I wasn’t. Partner had a medical exemption that she was willing to show but got told to get out of the shop as she “didn’t want her pottering around the store”. As a business you can ask for evidence of a medical exemption but instead you proceeded to not care or even ask and instead refuse service and act confrontationally without any provocation. We enjoyed another delicious lunch here today! I ordered the Big Breakfast which was too large to finish whilst my partner had the Fish, chips & salad - both meals washed down with delicious iced coffees - forgot to take photos! Lovely to speak with the owner Braydon who along with his wife Amanda are the owners. Really committed to providing locally sourced ingredients. A big career change for both these former professionals. I forgot to mention to Braydon that I thought the frying oil might have needed a change as fried food were all very dark in colour. But all in all very happy to recommend this hidden gem....
