Dissapointing experience. The food is great and the service staff were good. However, waiting 40mins for one take away coffee is unacceptable. Initially I was told it would be a 10mins wait, which is fine, but I was still waiting after other customers who ordered after me with multiple coffees got their order and I was still waiting. I asked the woman making coffees and she said she just makes them as she gets the orders. As I'm watching she finally seems to make my order, she does not call out any names, puts it on the counter for about 5 secs and them removes it, whilst another unclaimed coffee has been sitting there for at least 10 mins. I asked for a refund which they did give me for one of the coffees I ordered, my partner didn't want to wait any longer for his so we left. It was disappointing because instead of just saying sorry I will make yours next the 'barista" was rude and dismissive saying they were short staffed. I have worked in cafes before, I have made coffees before, I get it when places are short staffed but this experience was ridiculous. It would have been quicker if I have driven to the next...

We’ve driven through Wycheproof so many times and always noticed what looked like a little café out the front — this trip we finally decided to check it out, and we’re so glad we did!

Walked down the side of the building and were surprised how busy it was — people everywhere, inside and out. Clearly a local favourite, and now we get why.

There was heaps to choose from and I honestly didn’t know where to start. I went with my usual: a double shot dirty chai (they nailed it), grabbed a couple of sweet treats (so good), and tried a pie called the Spicy Dahl — never heard of it before and was a bit thrown it didn’t have meat, but the flavour was awesome and the filling was really different in a good way.

The staff were lovely and even with the rush, everything came out fast. Definitely a hidden gem. We’ll be making this a regular stop...

We stopped in yesterday, 15/11/2020, with my 6 month pregnant daughter in tow. The service was lovely, both straight forward and helpful... and sooo accommodating! The salad sandwich "in a bowl without the bread" that I asked for was amazing! All fresh, none of those brown edges that salad fixings often get while waiting to be used, in the cool trays. Fresh and crunchy like it had just been cut/grated! Oh and the ham in it... it was Christmas ham, off the bone! None of that cheap overly processed stuff. Perrrrfect! Exactly the break I needed on a 600km trip. And, it was equally awesome to see all the customers giving room for the 3ft bubble! Looks like such a lovely little community! Really enjoyed our 20 minute stop there, and will stop there again on our return trip,...

A nice country bakery, we came on Easter Monday so the place was super busy in the afternoon and they were selling out fast. We managed to get our hands on a traditional beef pie and a beef and mushroom pie. The pastry was great and was filled well, however the filling was a bit on the salty side. The thickshake was great and actually had a thick texture unlike a lot of thickshakes that claim the name but are just milkshakes. My husband also got a coffee and a slice of blueberry cheese cake which were unfortunately really disappointing. Coffee was under extracted so was quite watery and cold and the cheesecake had no flavour. Would give these guys another go on a less hectic day.

Dropped in mid-morning on the Saturday off Labor Day long weekend 2022. Was very surprised to see this charming, friendly establishment was quiet. The outdoor dining was wonderfully shady with easy access to a child's play area and bathroom facilities. Inside was welcoming, warm and friendly. The staff were all smiling, happy and up for a chat. The meat pie was enormous, full of fresh premium mince, coffee was hot and delicious. The doughnuts are beyond compare! Looking forward to visiting this town again in the future and the bakery is a must visit if you're in the area.
