Brown Shugar — Restaurant in Victoria

I love this Cafe. They make the best lattes and caps every time. I would call this my regular Cafe and for many good reasons. The staff are wonderful. The owers have changed but the food and coffee is still delicious. The staff are friendly, kind and welcoming. They remember my order and always have a quick chat. The staff are just lovely. They are very trained well in customer service and food handling and preparation. The service is fantastic. The food is beautiful. They use quality ingredients in what they make and source local quality products. They have a great range of fresh made hot foods aswell as lovely pastry items, cookies, cakes, ect and very reasonably priced. It is also a great place for vegans, vegetarians, the lactose and gluten intolerance making it great for celiac sufferers and other intolerant conditions. It doesn't specialise in it but has a great range that will keep most happy. The eating in area is modern, classy and has a lovely ambience. I attribute a lot of the ambience to the friendly staff. Brown Sugar Cafe is also perfect to grab a coffee on the way out from shopping. The outside eating area is very pleasant and you dogos are welcome. They even keep a water bowl topped up for your fur babys. Both inside and outside areas are family friendly yet great for a quite coffee on your own or with a friend or friends. They also have a great catering service. Parking is no issue at all being shopping centre parking and it has wheelchair parking, access and seating. I would also like to add Brown Sugar enthusiastically accept cash. It's important to many cash is kept alive as does this great little cafe. They also have card facilities which is great. It's important to have the choice of both. I gave Brown Sugar 5 stars for a very good reason. I highly recommend this Cafe and my goodness do they make an awesome latte and every time without fail. Ordered the all day breakfast from a very helpful, polite young man at counter. Asked him if l could not have the hash brown as l didn't like them, no problem, taken off order. Meal came out, no hash brown, good- but no beans ( they were on menu) asked the waitress if I could have some- none left....so l'm down a hash brown (yes okay at my request!) But also..no beans. For 19 dollars l felt a little bit short changed there was an apology but no offer of extra anything or money off, the eggs were overdone ( ok again l should have asked for soft boiled) and it was a pretty small portion for the price. Staff were polite and nice but I think an offer of more, well, anything would have been reasonable. Sorry for bad review but it was pretty disappointing. Lovely almond milk coffee. I had an iced latte and they had sweetener, for those of us who are diabetic. Which you'd be surprised how many places don't have sweetener, so I always carry my own for just in case purposes. Fast friendly service. When they take your order they read it back to you, which is great for someone like me with menopause brain. As I never know what comes out of my mouth and have a 1 minute memory 😂😂.
