Curlewis Fish And Chips — Restaurant in Victoria

After working in my garden all day we decided to have takeaway and treat ourselves. It wasn't a treat it was a disaster. The woman on the till struggled to understand what I was asking. We IE the size of the pieces of fish& the size of the fish bites& what type of fish in the bites. Question asked four times. 1 x flake 2 x fish bites 2 x Scollops 2 x Prawn Cutlets Small chips. $32.50 after a long pause to calculate the total of the bill. All good I am starving and wait the 15 minutes to process order. Hmm only one customer waiting & phone has not rung with orders. Still a bit shocked at the price. When we open package horrified.. I have worked in hospital all my life & owned a hotel. Obvious the oil is tired, chips over cooked, no salt, fish bites same size as the $7.50 piece of flake, batter uneditable. Prawn cutlet over cooked, however the scallops were good. We both ripped the fish out of batter and poked the chips around our plates....Very Hungry very disappointed. We threw batter & chips left on our plates into bin. Chips and fish bite left in package. I returned to shop with remnants of order. I was cross & annoyed. Manager ask how he can help. I raise my absolute disappointment in flavour, quantity control and attempting to cook in dead oil.....hence the terrible quality of what I was given to eat. I want my money back. Manager replied no because you have eaten a Lot of the order. . I should have grabbed everything out of my bin but I did not.. Manager didn't want to give me a cent. I finally left with $10.00 Not happy & will never go there again. Terrible food and...

These ppl are amazing. They charged me $12.50 for a burger with bread, patty and cheese. When I asked him why charge me at the rate of a full burger, he said, because he had to undo it because they come pre made.......??? ??? He was so rude about it. He said he had to work to undo th burger. So my 3 year olds burger costed more than mine with only 2 ingredients, because he had to take out the extras! I thought they made them and not come pre made. I wonder how many ppl knew that ? Never ever going there again. They are obviously in it for the $$$ and not genuinely providing acceptable food. They aren't cheap as chips. You are not a gourmet fish n chips shop. You treat genuine complaints poorly. I hope everyone...

Waited over 20 minutes for food. Got back to accommodation and found items missing from order. Rang to say so, was told to get missing items on another day. Said we were just visiting and that the missing items were my daughter’s dinner. Told to come back in 10-15 minutes to collect missing items. They then wouldn’t even give my daughter a free ice cream for the inconvenience. The owner was very rude when we came back in. They also refused to make milkshakes because they were too busy. Don’t have it on menu if you can’t provide it. Only 3 people in shop and about 5 orders...
