bumble bee eatery — Restaurant in Victoria

I am really unhappy with my experience today 19/9/24. My mum and I arrived here for lunch and the lady brought out water and glasses but my mums glass had a lipstick stain on it! It hadn't been washed at all and my glass had some sort of stain on it. I took them to the waitress and she didn't apologise but she did get new glasses, new glasses that also had stains on them. So without saying anything I put them on the counter and she was nice enough to wash 2 new ones in front of me but she still didn't apologise. I left it instead of getting angry at her but then she brought our English breakfast teas and the teacups and even the teapot hadn't been washed and had little hairs inside the cup. The food was ok but as someone who is a clean person and a bit of a germaphobe this really put me off my food. Absolutely disgusting and if you're reading this worker's, WASH THE DISHES PROPERLY BECAUSE IT DOESNT SEEM LIKE YOU WASH...

Great atmosphere, but that’s about it. The spacing between tables is good and the tables have plenty of space to eat. A woman came to our table to take our order, about 15-20 minutes later our food came along. The Margherita pizza had parsley on it instead of basil, and was on a store-bought base. The burger was a little dry, but fine otherwise. We weren’t given our drinks, we had to ask the barista (a different person from who took our order) who promptly made them and was very apologetic.

From our table we could see people in the kitchen (including the woman who took our order) just standing around the kitchen.

The barista girl who made our drinks was at the register when we paid and had incredible customer service skills!

After your first visit you will want to return! There is plenty to choose from on the menu. Today I had eggs and bacon it was simple but really nice - just what I wanted. There are many lovely cakes to try - very difficult to decide which one! The Bumble Bee and the Miss Ladybird are very cute, and very tasty :). Great coffee too. Love the decor, the whole place looks lovely and cosy, with plenty of room between tables so you don't feel over crowded. Can't wait to...
