Cape Corner Store — Restaurant in Victoria

Not sure if they were busy or not, but the food took forever to receive, and not only that - the chips were limp, battered hotdog was chewy like a week-old frankfurt, fish was grey, and the burgers? One with the lot - meat patty was just mince with no other flavouring. Chicken schnitzel burger had what appeared to be a chicken tender on it, not a schnitzel and both had old, chewy buns.

Really wish we went to Alfies Food Van instead for dinner instead of here.

Oh, and 2 litres of milk cost $5.50, so way overpriced and taking advantage of the fact there is nowhere else in town to get your basics. Tip, get those sorts of things back in Wonthaggi.

The place is really quite dirty and run down with flies buzzing everywhere. Guy behind the counter did a whole lot of muttering and swearing but little work. One of the young girls working had burnt her arm and the bloke and older lady working there seemed very unconcerned.

For such a beautiful area, this place really let's Cape Paterson down. I hope that someone could really do something with this location and make it more suitable for residents and...

Dined here three times in a week ( tried burgers, egg and bacon sandwiches and fish and chips) and each time the food was tasty, fresh and exactly what we hoped for. And each time we had one of the delicious generously sized ice creams to complete the meal. On top of that, the service was excellent and the happy personality of the lady behind the counter gives a wonderful ambience to the store Definitely worth driving from Inverloch or Wonthaggi for a meal...

I'm really happy with new owners. Food is delicious, nice batter on fish, minimum chips @ $5 were a good serving for 2 and dim sims very nice. 10 min wait when ordered in shop and very quick on phone orders. Staff are friendly and on the ball. And we get to eat them down near boat ramp at Cape. Hope everyone gets behind the Cape...
