Had to update this review for 2025 - 3rd year in a row that we have been back multiple times to eat a meal on our week trip to Inverloch and it never disappoints! We ate the handmade prawn linguine, beef cheeks, parma, kids pasta oysters kilpatrick, marinated lamb strap, flathead fillets, lamb rack, prawn scallopini, seafood pie, apple & rhubarb crumble, sticky date, spring rolls, garlic bread. All of our meals were superb! The staff and atmosphere are awesome. Highly recommend!!

The staff were amazing, friendly and accommodating especially knowing that we had four children ranging from ages 6months to 7yrs.

We ate chicken parma, kids chicken nuggets, fish & chips, salt & pepper calamari, oysters kilpatrick, chicken scallopini, sticky date, & vanilla panna cotta. There is only one word needed to describe the food "Wow"

You know this place is phenomenal when your three young children eat their food without complaint, you eat dinner at the same place three out of eight nights and your 7 yr old can't wait to come back on holiday just so we can come back for dinner.

My only complaint is this place is a little too far from home for us otherwise it would be our go to place for...

Booked in here for dinner on Thursday night. I called in the afternoon and spoke to a gentleman to reserve a table for 5. That was no problem, he advised it would be outside, if that was OK - and that was no problem.

It was busy when we got there, we sat at our table and explored the menu. I returned to the register to order our meals. The older blonde-haired lady must have been having a really crap day since she had no pleasantness about her in any way. Not sure if she just works there or an owner or what, but it appeared she would rather be anywhere but there.

Meals came out quickly, which was great, by the same blonde-haired lady who seemed really put out by the fact that I appeared to have extra spring rolls than normal on my plate. I felt like the kitchen staff were going to have their ass handed to them for that.

The meals were delicious - so definitely can't complain about the food. But the service was appalling, so once we finished eating, we didn't stick around as the vibe in the place was so flat...

Worried you'll get a pub meal that costs a lot and leaves you hungry? Not bloody here. Portions are designed to have you leaving full to bursting. But they still are jam packed with flavour. Plus a great selection of local beers and spirits, you're absolutely not leaving unsatisfied. Try to come with a cuisine in mind because you can absolutely get lost staring at the rather long menu.

Pricing is absolutely fair for portion size, and while it may not be as cheap as a local RSL, it's by no means overly expensive. Generous appetizer, two mains and basics from the top shelf, can definitely land you under three digits.

Caution, with current restrictions you absolutely need to book ahead. You're obviously not gonna be coming from Melbourne, but the lack of tourists doesn't mean the pub will be empty. The locals love this place for a damn...

A great little pub with great service and some pretty good food. We shared a couple of entrees in calamari and prawn spring rolls. The calamari was crispy, tender, and full of flavour. The prawn spring rolls which are made in house have good chunks of prawns inside are next level. Cooked to perfection, each mouthful has the perfect crunchy outside, with a chunk of prawns and vegetables on the inside. If you only get one entree this is the one to try. The parmi was on the small side, but the nap sauce was on point. However the chicken was overcooked and dry and the bottom of the parmi was soggy. I'm hoping it was a once off as I think if it was cooked well it would ve a great feed. The pepper sauce has great flavour but could be slightly thinker. Overall it was a good feed, and we would certainly be back.

The owner Michael is quite rude. I was there having a drink to commemorate the recent (not even a week ago) tragic and sudden loss of my dad, who Michael openly didn't like, and when a family was seated next to us he dumped a dirty baby high chair right at our table, said nothing, made zero eye contact and just walked away. Even if he didn't recognize me, I was clearly distraught; what if I was drinking there with my partner after a miscarriage and he unceremoniously dumped a dirty baby chair next to me? Great tavern with great food and the rest of the staff are just lovely. But no customer service or decency from the owner.

Oh my! We have eaten here quite a few times as we settle into living here and we are so lucky to swap out some seriously great food in the city (of Melbourne) for even better food here! We have had tonight the homemade gnocchi (my husband) and the pork cutlet with blue cheese and chilli jam - both specials - and the lovely wait person needed to wrestle the pork cutlet plate from me as I chomped through the porcelain having licked the plate!!! We had two lovely glasses of heathcote cab sauv and now my husband refuses to go without the home made meringue! Lucky cape dwellers indeed!!! Thank you CT staff and chefs :)
