Tucked away in the back corner in the humble food court of Corio Village, Curry at Corio is a classic example of don’t judge a book by its’ cover. Absolutely deserving of every 5 star review on Google, it is the only indian restaurant I’ve visited more than once.

For almost a decade, I was fortunate to experience traditional home cooked Indian and Pakistani food on the reg, prepared by one of Crown Casino’s chefs. It became one of my favourite cuisines and the bench mark was set pretty high. There’s nothing quite like a good, hearty home cooked Indian meal and internationally renowned celebrity chef and former head chef of Atta Restaurant, Atar Singh does not miss the mark!

Every dish was a 10 šŸ‘ and transported me back to many home dinners. It’s the kind of food you find yourself daydreaming about and craving. The type of food that makes you so content you just wanna curl up and have a nap afterwards.

The menu is packed with a bunch of heros and I encourage you to try something other than the popular go to - butter chicken. As delicious as it is, their menu has so much to offer. I have tried everything at least once and I have never been disappointed. 🫶 They cater to most dietary requirements and have banquet options, perfect for those dining in groups. You can also choose your level of spice. We opt for mild for our dishes as my partner is a spicy lightweight and mild is still a nice heat, even for my liking.

Due to popular demand, Curry at Corio has now launched in Lara with a larger seating capacity.

šŸ½ļø DISH OF THE DAY: chole bhature. Hard job to pick just one but the puri was cooked to perfection. I can happily eat that on its’ own. The riata fresh and simple and always the perfect compliment to the chickpea curry, which again -...

ā€œI am from the North India & that’s says a lot….ā€

This restaurant is situated back corner in the food court of Corio Village. A nice & warm welcoming restaurant.

I visited for lunch with a friend after having some close friend’s recommendations & reviews. When we arrived 2 p.m., we were told to wait for 10 minutes while they prepared the table (we hadn't made a reservation). At first, we tried their Samosas with tea. The spices and flavour were impressive (in tea too). For $4 prices, the quality was much higher (teas were pricey).

Then we took Chole Bhature. No word to say that it was awesome. The restaurant offers wonderful drink too (salted lassišŸ˜‰). As I said earlier, we are from North India, so we tried kadhai paneer, garlic naan bread & saffron rice too. The taste was excellent. Everything we ate was fresh. We were delighted by the authentic North Indian main course.

Would like to check out their Butter chicken, cheese naan & dal makhani (may be chicken jalfrezi & lamb korma too😊) in next visit.

In the contrast, it seemed to us that the waiters were not very engaged in their jobs. But the owner seemed very warm and thoughtful. He came around to check on our experience and seemed to be authentically engaged.

Overall, we enjoyed our experience. They did take the time to make the table ready, the main course was good, the staff was caring, but the drinks (tea & lassi...

My partner and I recently went down to curry at corio for the first time and wow! We ordered the 1kg chicken biryani and the tandoori fried chicken & chips meal.

The portion size of the food is outstanding and you really are getting amazing high quality food for a price you seriously cannot complain about!

The Tandoori Chicken and Chips is what blew me away the most! I was expecting it to be the same portion size as something from KFC but boy oh boy was I wrong.

When I opened the box of chicken, my mind was blown with how big the pieces were! For only $16, I will definitely be spending my money there rather than kfc if I’m in the mood for some amazing fried chicken and SPICY chips.

We will definitely come back for more and we can’t wait to try more foods. Is there anything else that would be highly recommended too?

Thank you to the chef and the staff for the...
