I love this place and it's kid friendly (not that we brought the kids this time). Went there for some dinner, played some pool and mentioned to a staff member that the lovely place where we were staying had overlooked wine glasses and I asked if I could buy some off her. She said she’d check with the boss and get back to me. When I got to the bar she let gave them to me for free. Had a chat to the owner on the way out, thanking her profusely. DP hotel put a sausage sizzle on for the Colllingwood v West Coast grand final and set the place up perfectly…. the feeling was electric in the pub… staff as always were gems, such good folk. Michael and Georgia are laid back owners, who cater for all your needs and really put the HOS in HOSPITALITY The 3 fireplaces have to be seen to believe and the up stairs dining area is a piece of history that just has to be sampled,with one of Chef's John's magical meals. After many years of neglect the DP Hotel is now the best place to be in Dinner Plain. Wingo runs a team of high energy, customer focused staff who are an absolute highlight of your time here. They’re fast, friendly and serve up a great mix of food and Bev - the recommendations in cocktails by Amber are a highlight.

The food menu includes the best pizzas you can find outside of Melbourne - the gluten-free options are plentiful and they have accommodated all our requests beautifully. I can’t go past the lamb and a gin slow side for a perfect night.
