I tried the beef brisket pie from Heyfield Bakery, pretty good I must say.(pictured) I'm not going to lie, it was better with a bit of tomato sauce. I really wanted to try their plain pie or sausage roll but I got there too late, 2pm. If you want access to their full range of hot goods then be early for lunch as is quite popular. They have a great range of savoury and sweet pastry wonders. Will try again for their sausage roll.

Had a pulled beef curry pie. Sorry to say it tasted horrible. I think l had 2 pieces of beef and rest was filled with some vegetables and gravy. I couldn't eat it all. On a good note though the Vanilla Slice was pretty tasty. Friendly staff. Will be back to try another flavoured pie.

Great slices, sausage rolls and milkshakes. All the food is made on site and has that hand made country feel. With a days notice they can accept orders if you have a group coming through and want to make sure that they have everything there ready to go.

Service is good, pies and cakes especially the New Yorker creamed custard slice is what I remember cakes were 45 years ago. Heyfield Bakery is that good and a True Traditional Australian/English Bakery. Nothing in Melbourne like this bakery Will return sometime.

I found it very amusing hearing the locals chatter about the windy weather, was...

After the superb mince pies at Christmas, I was so looking forward to trying their hot cross buns. Horror! Sold out! Lot's of flavours to choose from but I'm only into traditional. They look delicious though. My sausage roll was excellent. I'll need to make another trip from...
