KYO Sushi — Restaurant in Victoria

I am pregnant and have gotten the katsu chicken sushi roll before, but my partner went in this arvo to get me 2 as I was craving them but one of the rolls chicken had blood in it so my partner had to throw both out for me as we aren’t taking any risks. Not to mention he got the tuna cucumber roll, and his breath is TOO fishy, like, we both have had tuna sushi rolls before and NONE of them left such a disgusting smell, first time I got the katsu chicken they were perfect but never going back. “having undercooked chicken with visible pinkness or blood during pregnancy is a significant health concern because it poses a risk of infection from parasites and bacteria, such as toxoplasmosis and Salmonella, which can lead to severe health problems for both you and the baby, including miscarriage or serious complications.” You guys unknowingly could have LITERALLY killed my baby from this...

Scotia1946 is a jerk - “Anyone who has eaten sushi will know that you got to have soy to make the strips of rice and salmon palatable”. KYO sushi is fantastic, I’m there as much as possible and honestly, I feel bad for what the staff have to deal with. Today the kind, generous and talented staff had to deal with a woman abusing them because she supposedly ordered take away. She was so incredibly nasty and raised her voice to them. I heard it - they clearly asked her if she would like to eat in she said yes and took a table number and sat down. Unfortunately that’s the type of person who will come to a review site, leave awful unfounded remarks and abuse other people for their own twisted perspective and expectations. Please, go, find out for yourself what a gem this place is. Thankyou to the staff for the friendly, smiling faces that I appreciate...

Good sushi, bit expensive esp brown rice rolls over $4... Fried selection was nice, fried chicken was a bit soft. Tofu was nice thou. However I found brown rice rolls broke up real quick, the rice isn't sticky enough and the grains fall out everywhere. Might as well make the tolls into a sushi bowl as can't eat like a normal roll.

Rice is inconsistent White rice is too wet , brown rice is either also too wet and mushy or Al dente and mega dry....which is often disguised by adding avo or Mayo.
