The place has really cool roof decor, a bit dark but that’s understandable being in a cave theme. We saw good reviews thus decided to eat here. One thing that they mentioned is portion is massive. That was right. I ordered one scone to share, and it was the biggest scone I ever had (the size of a big burger bun). It was nice but since it’s so big, you do need a lot of jam and cream to make it nice. I also had the schnitzel and chips. Schnitzel was massive. Not sure if I like the crumbs much. Chips was okay. Chai latte was massive, in a tall glass (I thought I was getting a mug), quite sweet but I like it. In general it was a very cheap meal and massive size. Good for value. Service was great đŸ‘đŸ».

As grandparents this is an amazing venue for us to take the grandchildren. Functional play area, great Cafe meals, refreshments and service was authentic & friendly. Food was exceptional and affordable. Loved the teapot!

Great food, reasonable price, friendly service. Ordered the scones which were homemade, came out warm, tasted beautiful and were massive. Picture of 1 scone (of the serving of 2).

As locals, my family and I have visited the cafe at Woodsies many many times but never have we received such disgusting and aggressive treatment from the staff as we did today. The extremely rude ‘waitress’ insisted we had ordered items that we had not, yelling at us in front of other customers and trying to intimidate us. Even after the correct customers were found for the items we were abused over no apology was offered, instead the cook accused us of being rude to the waitress and that he would be ‘reviewing security footage’ to prove this. We all cop poor customer service from time to time wherever we go but this was next level, the intimidation and nastiness continued well after the initial incident. Woodies Gem Shop is a wonderful place to visit, it’s a shame to be let down by such awful people in the cafe which we have since learned are known for being rude, aggressive and that this certainly isn’t an isolated incident unfortunately. We will continue to support Woodsies Gem Shop however the cafe, which is not affiliated to the shop, is a hard pass. The food is average at best anyway.. dry, overcooked mains that came out in dribs and drabs, supermarket bought muffins and substandard hygiene observed, in particular the ‘cook’ wearing jewellery and a cap and sunnies on his head. The old owners/managers of the Cafe were fantastic! These ones.....

Very poor customer service. Extremely rude waitress staff. Argued with us about our order when we advised that wasn’t our order. Followed us around while browsing arguing with us. It was finally worked out the order was someone else’s and the waitress had made a mistake. But no apology was offered. Food took a long time and came out cold as the staff spent majority of their time arguing with us over the order & trying to work out who’s fault it was rather than focus on cooking our order. We were told in the end they’ll check on the camera footage what our body language was like towards the waitress and then offer a refund if they see fit. This cafe is not associated with Woodsies gem shop. The gem shop is a very pleasant...
