Little Thai House — Restaurant in Victoria

Dissapointing...from the moment we walked in the door. The guy who gave us a menu and took our order was not friendly. Curt, borderline rude. Not sure what his issue was.. Ordered fish cakes and spring rolls to start. Spring rolls about the size of your finger. Fish cakes small and almost tasteless...no plates were given to us. Just eat from the serving plate.. Thai basil beef...big dissapointment. About as far from good Thai food as you could get. Just a small bowl of about 90% vegetables ( cauliflower, broccoli, zucchini squash, carrots and onion) very little beef. I bet there was like 20 small ( Small) pcs of things beef. Pitiful. Very little basil. Worst I have ever had. I mean who makes beef basil with vegetables. It should should be sliced beef, onion and basil. The Thai curry duck had a sweet coconut sauce. You do not put sugar in a duck curry. Sorry. Maybe it was sweetened coconut milk...IDK...just not good Thai food. Would never...

We had ordered food at 7.15 and were told it would be a 20 minutes wait. Got there and were told it would be another 5 minutes. At 8.15 we finally asked for our money back as we were told our meals haven’t even been started yet. Got a phone call from them at 9:30 asking if we had ordered and didn’t pick up our food. Very poor communication between staff and we weren’t the only ones to leave after an hours wait.

I sent a message to the lady who rang me explaining what had happened and with her reply she said that our food was cooked and that it was a misunderstanding with the last who was working the front, putting all the blame on her which is very unprofessional.

I don’t mind waiting for food as I know times can very very busy and stressful but they way they handled it wasn’t...

This is an amazing little restaurant! I have had Thai food at many restaurants in Melbourne but the Thai food here was the best I have had. It is truly world class. The duck curry and fish in ginger sauce were my favourites but all the Thai dishes we had were excellent. The customer service was equally amazing, they made us feel very welcome and catered for our every need. I was so surprised to find a restaurant of this quality in a small town, albeit a very classy one!! Highly...
