Terrible Customer Service This place is an overpriced and snobby place where we were not made to feel welcome with our small children. There is a very limited and expensive menu. There is no childrenâs menu which was very surprising. When I asked Michael (our server) if there were any vegetarian options (none on the menu) he said I should have called ahead. I found this odd as there is always something vegetarian on the menu, this is 2021 after all. I found his manner rude from the beginning. When our order came and my food wasnât what I had ordered this bully of a man accused me of lying. How disgusting to be treated in this way. I am not one to send food back but I didnât order what was given to me. I was shocked that as a paying customer he thought it was okay to accuse me in this way. At the end of the meal, I felt so upset at his accusation I decided to say something to the owner. I donât like confrontation and Iâve never done this before. Michael flatly refused to acknowledge that he had made a mistake with the order, he did not offer any apology for his comments. The owner stood there and didnât seem the slightest bit concerned at his staff member speaking to a customer in this manner. The owner did nothing, spineless. âCouldnât take sidesâ he said. It was the last night of our holiday and it was ruined by this arrogant, jumped up, little man. It was such a small issue made worse by his attitude. Perhaps Michael needs to look up â customer serviceâ and take another lesson. We will never return. Donât go if you have kids. Donât go unless you want to pay over the top.    Read moreWe arrived quite late at this motel (around 11:15pm) but our travel agent had informed us this wouldn't be a problem and to just buzz through on arrival and we'd be checked in. On buzzing in a guy comes out and proceeds to lecture us that we should have called ahead to say we'd be late. We told him our agent told us it wouldn't be an issue and that if they'd told us to call ahead we would have done. He then went on to "threaten" that he didn't have to give us the room at all.
I explained that if he had a problem he should take it up with the travel agent as we had followed all the instructions we were given and any issues he had were for him to discuss with them.
He eventually relented and gave us the keys to the room that we had already paid for in full.
As an aside the room was OK, pretty much exactly as you'd expect from a budget motel. It's just a shame our stay was ruined by a rude employee who as far as I could tell was threatening us because HE had failed to give clear instructions to an agent at the point of booking as to what he expects from late arriving guests.

Surely it should have been a hive of activity with the chef and staff prepping for the evening? But when all you do is microwave outsourced pre cooked food and tip a bit of store bought sauce over it, not much prep involved. The ribs were tender enough, but straight out of a packet and covered store bought BBQ sauce ( gleefully verified by the waitress) My chicken fillet was small and sitting in a pool of water. No seasonal menu here, highlighting the best of the local produce and wines. Instead a laminated card of outsourced items and wines described by grape varieties, without mention of producer or vintage.
One star for being open and one star for replacing the bottle of wine when the wrong variety was plonked on our table, and the error only discovered after we opened it ourselves and poured a glass.
