Asked for fish to be cooked fresh from scratch as pregnant and can’t eat food that has been sitting there. Asked kid to tell other staff before they make the food, also asked for fresh chips. The kid serving did not tell the other staff. Had to then speak to the manager. Manager said that’s fine. Got the meal, no cheese in the fillet of fish meal. Same kid who served me said the burger doesn’t come with cheese. Had an argument about a piece of cheese because it does. Asked for new burger. Kid comes back with same burger two seconds later with an unmelted piece of cheese in it. I was disgusted. And then asked for a new burger. New burger the bun was stone cold and fish was not even a fresh one. So complained to front manager who said back manager made it. Offered refund or new burger so I asked to speak to manager in the back. She was so rude and said, “I made the burger fresh, it’s fresh!.” I said , “ touch the bun touch the burger. Your other burger was hot, just was missing cheese. This is stone cold. The manager said she refused to touch the burger which was absolutely silly, no steam or anything, she knew it was cold. I can’t eat cold food that’s been sitting there I’m pregnant.” They then made me another burger, by this time it’s 30 minutes to eat a burger. I ate my chips ages ago, and the burger was hot which was great. When I opened the bun they put half a slice of cheese this time, absolutely disgusting they did that.. I just ate the burger. It was the most disgusting service ever from a Mc Donald’s I’ve ever had. The attitude from the young kid trying to argue about a piece of cheese telling me I had to pay extra, to the managers, this was on Sunday the 1st of August. They were busy but you don’t cut corners or argue with customers....
Read moreI’m writing this to express my shock at the disgraceful state of the facilities at this Maccas location on the night of 30 May 2025, at approximately 9:00pm.
I stopped in to purchase a drink and use the toilets. What I encountered was nothing short of revolting. The baby changing room and men’s toilet both had “out of order” signs. However, the men's toilet was still accessible, and it looked like a bomb had gone off inside, there was faeces and toilet paper spilling from the bowl onto the floor. The urinal was full of urine and not flushing, and it was dangerously close to overflowing onto the floor.
This was not just unclean, it was hazardous to health. It is unacceptable that any venue serving food and drink would allow its toilets to reach such a state, let alone remain open to the public. If the only available facilities were in this condition, the restaurant should have been closed entirely. The situation was so foul, it reminded me of the conditions of public toilets seen in areas affected by heavy drug use.
I can only imagine how demoralising and unsafe this must be for your staff, who should not be expected to work in such appalling conditions. It's disgraceful that one of the world’s most profitable companies could neglect its duty of care to this extent – to customers, employees, and the wider public.
McDonald’s must do better. Whoever is responsible for managing this site needs to be held accountable, and immediate steps must be taken to ensure this is never repeated. Frankly, everyone involved in the oversight of this store...
