Finally had the opportunity to try missen link burgers after following them on social media since covid and man it did not disapoint. I tried 'the big guy' which is the best take of a big mac I've ever had. The beef patties were smashed patties in a very fresh soft bun. Just unreal! I also got a side of 'chilli cheese fries'. The condiments were the perfect amount for the serving portij g and the fries were very well seasoned and nice and crispy.
The decor of the place you can tell is the owners haven with alot of bobs Burger's and teenage mutant ninja turtles memorabilia and some great art on the walls.
A fantastic experience which I am so happy lived up to the hype and I can not wait to travel out and have another meal there.
My only negative is it's a long way from residential address, or maybe it's a positive? As I would be in there quite a big if it were local.
Being around Easter time they have some very unique flavours of hot cross buns. The one I opted to try was the vanilla slice hot cross bun. Do not pass this up if it is in stock to try. I have never had anything like it. It pairs surprisingly well.
I see they also have pies as well but were sold out naturally at dinner time. Maybe in the future.
Once again a big thank you to the team feeding us like family and I can not wait to come back and eat...
ย ย ย Read moreIโve tried Mission Link a few times now with varying experiences. The shed has a cool, quirky vibe, but the decor isnโt exactly kid-friendly. There arenโt many tables and chairs in the waiting area, especially for times when its busy, so itโs not suitable for dining in. The owners have clarified theyโre a takeaway spot, not designed for sit-down dining, which makes sense.
On our first visit we ordered three different burgers and the chilli loaded fries for around $75. The burgers were massive and cooked well - we all enjoyed our burgers very much. The fries, however, were not so great - odd-tasting chili cheese sauce, the flavour combo just seemed a bit off - we barely ate them. On another visit I tried a pie โ good tasting filling and pastry, but unfortunately served barely warm. Our best experience was the Irish spice bag, which was absolutely delicious. My sonโs burger was also great he loved it, though my daughterโs was drowned in mustard, which overpowered everything and made it sloppy.
I would like to try again though, as the menu is enticing with plenty of options...

Waited in store for 45 minutes for a 2 item order and saw person after person either complaining about either how long they've waited, or how their order was wrong, only to then have to wait 30+ minutes for it to be resolved.
The front of house staff are running around like headless chooks with a store full of unhappy customers. It's no wonder they have such a hard time staffing the store, the management is atrocious.
it's crazy to think that the owner is in store and letting this all go down out the front. I worked in the restaurant industry for almost a decade so I know the issues could just be a once off, but the other low scoring reviews regarding the level of service dispel that notion.
If they spent less time dipping into pie and pasty side-ventures and more time training their staff and getting their orders right they MIGHT not have so many issues with retaining staff and dealing with unhappy customers.
This wasn't my first poor experience with Missen Link, but it...
