Penshurst Store — Restaurant in Victoria

Very disappointed.Was excited about going, rang beforehand to see what time they were doing food till as we were travelling 40 mins there. They were doing food till 2, we got there late at 1.50, ordered the food had a look at the gifts and sat down, waited about 10 mins and coffee and cakes came in takeaway containers and they said they were closed and we can sit outside to eat if we want,so we walked outside even with all the tables in the shop still had people on them. Most reviews are good so must be a once off and we will try and get there...

Was in the lookout for a country bakery for a quick lunch stop.

The service was lovely. And the atmosphere was very chill.

My pie was a little burnt on top which means the pepper on the crust was a little bitter. And my sausage roll just wasn't to my liking. However that is very much my personal opinion. It you are someone that likes a lot of veg in your sausage rolls, these would be perfect.

I usually stop in every country town to try the pies at the local bakery. I have had a few of the pies from here, specifically the Bacon and cheese, chilli cheese + beef, and the pepper steak pies. I couldn't recommend this bakery more to anyone travelling through. By far my favourite pies I've had in any country town I've been to (and that is quite a lot).
