Where are these 5 star reviews coming from?? Not so great service, below average salads. Garlic bread and Pizza I'd do without next time.
I called at 5pm for a pickup order as I was going to a function and needed an early dinner. Was told over the phone that the kitchen didn't open until 5:30pm and my order would not be ready until 5:45pm - kind of defeats the purpose of advertising an opening time of 5pm!! Order was for 1 pizza, two caesar salads and two garlic breads.
Upon arriving at 5:40, the staff were not able to find the order I had placed over the phone and were asking if I had done it online or via menu log... the guy making the pizzas had to stop and confirm where the order was.
I asked the lady at the counter (as we were early and clearly they would now have to find my order due to be ready in 5mins) if we could eat our 'take away' in the massive (empty) seating area... as we were now under some time pressure to eat and run. This seemed to create some sort of issue for her... and she complained that it usually costs more to 'dine in' but (begrudgingly) it would be ok. So we took a table and waited. We were so put off by the imposition!! we had caused her that we didn't want to order a drink for fear that this would cause even more drama and confusion.
After a few minutes I went to make sure what I was wanting was clear to her, (eat our take away order at a table) so I asked to have the pizza in its box so that we can eat run. She wanted to confirm how we would like the food to come out... and I said "All at once!"
So back at the table we waited watching the time tick over and at 5:51 our (what only can be described as truly uninspiring) caesars came out - I could have mistaken them for subway caesars, not something a local small business passionate about food competing with the big chains would produce. Soon behind was the garlic bread... which looked like they had come out of the frozen section of Woolies... again not really what I was expecting.
6pm and we had finished our caesars and no pizza had come, but it was time to go. For some reason this allusive pizza (which I wanted to have for dinner) was sitting with all the other boxed pizzas waiting for take away pickup???! ...only given to us when we were at the counter ready to leave. No apologize from the lady, this seemed to have been her plan all along... maybe I was speaking Chinese when I said "All at once!" This long awaited pizza (that I had to eat in the car) was nothing special... too much topping so that everything slips off when you pick up a slice.
SO, I ask again... where do these 5 stars come from? ...or,...
Read moreI ate in the restaurant and it was really great. I had a calzione which came out quite quickly (good when you're travelling for work and eating alone), and it was delicious. And huge. The staff were friendly and efficient, and I appreciated a nice chat when I was paying. The place might seem to be devoid of staff, but the lady said that there are cameras and they keep an eye out for when they're needed. So don't fear that you'll be forgotten. There are a lot of reviews saying that people wait a long time for pizza deliveries, but that's not a problem if you're eating in, and I saw a lot of people coming and leaving with pizzas at the takeaway section. The only things I'd like to have seen are a menu displayed on the window, and a drinks menu on offer. But those are suggestions and not worth docking a star for. All up I recommend this place for a delicious, hearty and quite fast...
Read moreRight, I have no words for this place. They work in the hospitality industry and do not know what a vegetarian is i.e. no meat, no seafood no nothing.. rather simple. I am a vegetarian and I understand people don't like us. So, I ordered a pizza and asked it to be vegetarian and they gave me one with all the meat first, then when I returned it, they gave me one with prawns in it. They do not deduct money if you remove ingredients (which is fine) but should you remove and add an ingredient i.e. say jalapenos then they charge to add an ingredient. I suppose it is ok to churn out pizzas but I won't be eating there again. Food, when they take the time to take the right...
