Schomberg Inn — Restaurant in Victoria

The owner/assumed bartender made it clear everything was "pay for play". I was okay with that for pool, but when we had a conversion about music and why the jukebox was unplugged, he became rude and told me "This isn't America". There was a TV plugged in and silent, and I asked him if customers might enjoy tunes more than a silent alien movie and he immediately became defensive and basically kicked me out. Bad form, guy. Four of us went there for tea on Monday night. I asked for my steak medium rare, more rare than medium. It turned up medium well. Too over cooked. My friend’s chicken Parma was burned. The garlic prawns were lost in a very strong yellow sauce of some sort. The barramundi was average. The prawns were very tough and overcooked. I think for the price it could have been much better if more care had been taken in the kitchen. The place had four tables with patrons including ours. Came here and spent a night on Christmas eve, was surprised by how affordable the price is and the condition of the room we had based on what we paid. Amazing facility including bedding, wifi charger, smart TV, overhead full spray shower. Peter was very friendly and offered to give us a lift from and to the local airport.
