The view is amazing, but unfortunately you wait far too long for your breakfast. I have never known anybody that could mess up a simple breakfast. I have never had scrambled eggs so crumbly in all my life, not very pleasant to eat. Hashbrowns are not what you see on the menu they are completely different, and when you biting them, it is just a mouthful of fat, again not very pleasant eat at all. One other major issue is if you really care about the food that you are dishing up. You would never put it on the plate that is so chipped and an health issue. Disappointing, especially after reading the reviews.

Food was good and reasonably priced considering the distance from the City. Very pleasant staff. Such a lovely place. Obviously designed with care to give good views of the river valley. Very clean surrounds. Nice outside deck for enjoying food and the sights. Love the inclusion of the kiddy play area but perhaps too far away from the deck for supervision? The transition from the petrol station of before has been well done. Good displays of food and items for sale. I did like the wall art and the decor.

The well named Viewpoint Cafe serves up a top class 'big brekkie' along with the best coffee in town. Don't bypass this place as its worth the stop just to look out over the riverlands from the back deck ....... and 'eat in' the view. Noticed there was a safe and secure kiddies playground in which to stretch some legs (U8y/o)

“I can’t believe how much this cafĂ© has changed since I last visited three years ago. It used to be such a nice spot, but now it’s a complete letdown.

The moment I walked in, I felt unwelcome. The guy behind the counter didn’t speak English, so I had to ask about the prices (since nothing was labelled). Instead of answering me, he started talking to someone else in another language, and honestly, it felt like they were gossiping about me.

Even worse, he wasn’t even standing behind the counter properly—he was sitting on the floor, scrolling through his phone! I mean, come on. That’s not how you treat customers. You work in a cafĂ©, mate—at least make an effort to help people.

As for the food, it was a disaster. Soggy, tasteless, and clearly no care went into it. To make matters worse, the whole place was dirty. It’s heartbreaking to see what’s become of this cafĂ©.

I won’t be coming back, and honestly, I can’t recommend it to anyone. One...

Hungry travellers, looking for take away Waikerie 8.30pm on a Friday night. Tried to order a pizza at Newland Bakery, their kitchen closed early so they said to call Viewpoint. Called Viewpoint to order burgers at 8.45ish. Was told there were no burgers available but we could get snitzel burgers and chips. Ordered 5 to feed the group. Arrived to pick up to be told kitchen closed, no food, had to order before 9pm. Tried to explain we’d called ahead to order. Girl serving was very rude and clearly wanted no part of us being there. What on earth has happened to this place. As regular travellers to and through Waikerie Viewpoint has always been our ‘go to’ stop for fuel, food, coffee etc. They used to have such lovely staff and great service. Very...
