I had read somewhere that this place had good pies so when I found myself in Pinjarra I had to give it a go.
Unfortunately it was not good. The price was ridiculous to start with $8.20 for a regular sized (even smallish) normal pie ? I haven't even paid that much for a "gourmet" pie anywhere in Perth.
I ordered a pepper steak pie but after driving off and starting to eat it realised it was just a standard mince pie, no pepper. Honestly I have had much better frozen pies from Coles and I could have bought 6 for the same price.
When I ordered my coffee I checked how many shots were in a large coffee as I like it strong flavoured. The girl advised I could have a different, stronger blend of coffee which I did. It tasted like hot milk with little or no coffee at all !
The vanilla slice and lemon meringue slice were similarly poor quality and lacking in flavour.
Altogether a big waste of money and very disappointing.
Went to the smaller bakery around the corner and was rewarded with much better quality. Be advised and avoid this den of...
Read moreGood spot for a coffee time to buy a new outside table from the men's shed... outside area could do with revamp... tavern settings made by mens shed would be one idea with a bar stool bench all around the edge. As for the doof doof music... well that is not everyone's cup of tea...pun intended If you want to attract people to sit down and eat in a good atmosphere shade sails and contemporary music. Customer service is excellent, the staff are friendly and helpful and work well as a team. A gate up the side would be good for people to access the rear carpark safely separating traffic and pedestrians... The mens shed still could build you a new table. And finally... don't you think it is time to remove the covid screen? Very unnecessary and difficult to order... hopscotch floor stickers can also be removed. There is no need to have these reminders of the unnecessary mandates. The fear campaign is...
Read moreThe Ned Kelly pie was awful. Cheap mince, bland flavourings, cardboard pastry. I've had freezer pies from Coles that are better than this- and we all know how awful those pies are. Paid $8.80 for the pleasure.
Husband had the honey lamb, he said it was awful. Paid $9.50 for the pleasure.
These are not especially large pies, they're just normal sized.
It didn't help that there was loud, horrible pop music inside, so couldn't even hear the person serving us. And all but one of the outside tables had not been cleaned.
I don't care about refunds, I care about warning people away. Go somewhere else. Anywhere else. A roadhouse would have better pies and...
