Northpoint Fish & Chips — Restaurant in Warrnambool

I wish I could give less than 1 star. This food is garbage. I can honestly say, without hyperbole, this is without doubt the worst fish and chips I've had in my life.

The scallop was a dried out husk, the fish was dry and the chips are, somehow, all like the ones left in the bottom of a frozen bag. About 10% of the chips were longer than 1cm. This means that they're all dry, hard and taste stale. You know when you get decent fish and chips and there's those ones left at the end that are just the tiny burnt bits? That's 90% of what you get.

Service is amazing, shop is clean and tidy with a television if you are the order and sit and wait type. Huge array of drinks and a massive menu although we went only for the handcut chips. They really are delicious and such value for money (two hungry adults struggle to get through $4 worth, but we do) They are a little oily as they are hand cut and they tend to hold onto more oil than their manufactured counterparts but ordered extra crispy the second, third and fourth time round and they were just yum! Visiting from SA, and was fantastic to find this fish and chip shop, that catered for my 15 yr old son that needs to eat gluten free foods, it was the first time since his diagnosis that he was able to enjoy his beloved potato cakes again! Batter wasnt thick or soggy, was light and crispy and the chips were very nice aswell. Not only was my 15 yr old son super happy, so were the other family members.
