This fish and hip place is in the Ashby shopping complex, on the side of the Farmer Jack's supermarket. I really liked the fish and chips here! The batter was really light and thin and stayed crispy even when it cooled down. The pieces of fish were thin too, there was a good ratio of crispy batter to fish. The fish itself was fresh and flakey and the chips were well fried, the kind that are all mostly short fat chips. The meal came with heaps of chips. We got the fish and chips for three with one of each - dimsim, pineapple ring, and crabstick. The batter stuck really well to these, I noticed especially with the pineapple, they must have really dried it before applying the batter. We also got the curry sauce and mushy peas. Both were great.

Bought $4.00 worth of chips here tonight and was shocked with what I got. I cook my own fish at home so just wanted chips. The portion was tiny and way less than what I get for $4.00 at Chippies in Carramar. I feel like I was robbed to be honest. This place does not provide value for money at all the the small size of chips is a piss take. Will never ever go to Ashby Fish and Chips again. Much much better options elsewhere.

Used to absolutely love this place! but this is $5 worth of chips now! Will definitely not be going back! Banksia grove is so much better. they’re putting prices up soon and dropping the portion sizes at the same time… joke

Ordered on the phone. When I got there was told I they didn’t have half of what I ordered and I could either wait another half hour for them to cook something else or just take the chips that were already cooked. Decided to just take the chips as I couldn’t be bothered waiting and was given $8 worth of chips that were hardly enough for two people. So family of four now has to try make do with enough for two people. So much for a nice fish and chip dinner. If you go here probably best to have a back up plan as you will be hungry and ripped off. I...

Im a regular. Live 15 mins away. The best f&c, large battered oysters, mussels or scallops, chips and pineapple ring. The batter is crispy. Because the serving is huge I have 1/2 the fillet and chips reheated for brunch the next morning. Beautiful family and I am grateful for their endurance. Ring your order or get there when they open if you dont wait in queue. Although, no matter how busy they are, they pump out the orders. I get home, and my food is a perfect temp...
