Very disappointed, with the hotel, nothing on the website about noise from renovations, kept me awake 2 nights in a row,no room service anymore, very expensive for accommodation, plus the bar attendant was very rude to me when I ordered my food for take away, will be looking into seeing how I can get a refund,left very disappointed and angry,
Very angry with hotel, went on Friday 13th June till Monday morning 16th, will never come back, I arrived at front of hotel after spending time in city most of the day i was tired, I did not have a car, so came from train station, not knowing reception had moved to back of hotel, I went in front looking for reception, only to be told it's over at back of restaurant, I asked the waitress for help to reception as I have health issues and had been walking a fair bit, the lady told me she help with suitcase and my walker, but when she came out front she said follow away where the reception sign is which isn't big, and you will come to a gate, we'll I ended up taking all of my things with me, and went the wrong way, ending up in beer garden, again still not able to find reception, in the end I was shown where reception is ,but it's in a silly spot, why put a reception at back of hotel, because of uber and taxis, coming in, when I found reception the lady behind counter kept talking and I couldn't get a word in, she said to me the kids are very noisy and usually stop around 9, at night, well they went till 10, plus my room was right next to playground with kids being noisy, I will never come back here, everyone yells and is loud even in rooms, not only that it's next to trains which I heard all night, car park outside room with people talking outside room and starting cars up, no breakfast available, im on medication and had to organise my own breakfast, restaurant nearby but when u don't have a car it's not easy to organise getting breakfast, reception said to me ask the staff on next day to help me with my phone, well the guy next day didn't know what I needed , and housekeeping said go to reception and ask for something from kitchen for breakfast,, reception said they don't have access to kitchen, poor service and not going back, I want...

I went to the bar to order a happy hour drink to be told that there were no cocktails after a bit of talking to the barman, who was lovely, a lady came over and said the only thing that they could offer me was an aperol spritz.. this isn’t a cocktail !? . I don’t drink bubbles or wine so happy hour I couldn’t buy anything. There was no offer to make a drink for me , and the clearly on the menu it states select beer wine and cocktails so after waiting for so long to give it a go I was pretty disappointed that I couldn’t get one happy hour drink that I actually liked, most pubs have at least 2 cocktails for happy hour at least , and Not just spritzes!! But the fact that no offer was made to satisfy a customer who was after her happy hour drink. I still paid for a full price drink before happy hour thinking I could have one more at cheaper happy hour price .. I could go to my other local knowing for well that they would actually make me a drink anyway and charge me a happy hour price because they stuffed up that’s Customer Service. The food was lovely. It was quick. It was fresh. It wasn’t reconstituted chicken it was an actual chicken breast snitty I had. That was all beautiful. The layout I can see in summer. It’s absolutely beautiful for families. The fire was going when we went. That was gorgeous. We sat near that everything else was lovely. the staff were lovely just lacking a bit of gumption in the Customer Service area when your menus clearly state select beer, wine and cocktails happy hour. .. Read moreFirst time back since the renovations which is great, and the food was lovely, but we wont be back again as parking is terrible, no cohesion what so ever between the kitchens and 1 staff member arguing with us over a desert.
Made a booking for my just returned FIFO partner and myself for 6.30 got our drinks from the bar staff who were friendly and helpful 5* to them. Unfortunately that was the best service we received the entire night.
We ordered the fish and chips and the brisket special pizza, and the Biscoff dessert pizza. Yes! we did read that they are separate kitchens and there could be slightly longer wait times for the kitchen. We were both fine with that.
After about 10 mins my fish and chips arrived, which I was pleasantly surprised at. I started my meal thinking that the pizza shouldn't be to far away. Boy, was I wrong. 20 mins later the pizza arrived at our table, just as I was finishing my meal. I was disappointed as It was my partners first night back and it would have been nice to eat the meal together. Then to our surprise he had not even finished 1 slice of pizza before the dessert was slapped on the table, which we asked to be taken back, and which we were told that because it was ordered with the rest of the meal it all comes out together. Which was rather big considering the 2 mains couldn't even remotely come out close together. After rolling his eyes and huffing he took the pizza back. When my partner had finished the pizza we asked for the desert, which came back to the table lukewarm at best.
I have no complaints about the food apart from the dessert pizza being cold. The food was lovely, again 5* for the food. But the rest of the evening was dragged down by sloppy inattentive service.
