I came here with my wife to try this place out, I must admit we had a $50.00 voucher from a xmas gift so we thought why not. Place is clean and staff friendly. We ordered the Garlic Bread as a starter I ordered the Chicken Parmy and my wife ordered the Barramundi. We were given a nice bottle of water which was nice a cold and then our drinks arrived, my Coopers was nice cold and crisp and my wife's Lemon, Lime and bitters mixed perfectly. Now to the food the garlic bread arrived as three slices of normal run of the mill bread not a crispy crust like a Ciabatta or a Sour Dough just white sliced bread a little bit of a let down to start of but hey we ate it all. My wife's Barra looked awesome nice tasty dressing with the salad but the Barra was from Vietnam not a local or Aussie brand you can tell by this by the three cuts into the skin from my experience its from Clean Harvest a good product but a little to thin in the meat content. My Chicken Parmi looked nice but lacked flavour it tasted of just flour and water maybe it was crumbed a while ago the tomato sauce under the cheese had no real kick to it just tomato and maybe oregano no pepper taste or garlic the whole thing was just a little bit of a let down even the Panko crumbs where not really Panko the crumbs where way to fine and not crispy. All in all we ate it all but maybe a little bit more attention to flavour will make me come back. The chips where good maybe the kitchen was having an off night it...

The waitresses I assume hate working here. Nearly all are sullen and unfriendly. Food and drink orders taken with unsmiling faces and blunt words.
Ordered a Nail stout ale off the menu, but it turns out the menus are wrong and the only Nail in the system is the Red Ale, so that was what was brought out in error. This was fully refunded after much chasing of different staff. Manager/owner needs to update the menus or order some Stout in.
Ordered two Chorizo burgers, both without onion, one with jalapeño’s. Both came out with Jalapeño’s.... both had EXTREMELY dry patties. Too dry to eat, pulled the rest of mine out and left it on the board.
Another ordered two side dishes, only one ever came out. Another ordered a steak sandwich, which was missed entirely and had to be reordered. Another ordered the squid ink pasta, which wasn’t true squid ink pasta, but only had lines of ink in the pasta.
My Barker Chicken breast, the sauce tasted like gravox, and gnocchi was very gluggy, not light and fluffy like it should be.
To say the least won’t be...
Read moreFood and service was good. Had to pay $3 more for my meal because the seniors' menu has no vegetarian/vegan choices. Was recently at the Mundaring Weir Hotel who have two vegan choices on their seniors' menu. So I would say to the Manager, why can't you?
**Re-visited two years later and there are still no vegan options on the menu. There was a vegan option listed on the menu for the Baked Mushrooms, but then I was told the mushrooms were cooked in butter, so I was offered the Beetroot Salad which was an extra $4 - total $24. It came out with loads of greens, beetroot, cherry tomatoes, couscous and a balsamic reduction. There was not much value or taste in this salad and it didn't fill me. If I'd been making this at home I would have added pomegranate arils or cranberries, avocado, toasted pine nuts, croutons and some dukkah spice.
I would challenge the chef to use more imagination when making salads and to provide two other hot vegan options on the main menu.
Service from the staff was good and efficient and the air conditioning...
