Crossroads Cafe — Restaurant in Western Australia

This place has gone to the pack. Called in on Wednesday morning and ordered two curried egg sandwiches and a coffee. Should have realized things were not gonna be good when noticed no food in the bain marie at 10 in the morning and as the only customer it still took fifteen minutes to make. We got down the road and decided to eat the sandwiches. First thing we noticed was neither had been cut and the bread was dry and stale. Then when we we decided to try and it had curry type sauce oozing out of the sandwich (both the same). They had chopped up pieces of egg with what appeared curry sauce or very wet mix poured over them. Did try to taste and it was disgusting, inedible with a weird flavour (both ended up in the bin). Usually my husband loves a sandwich from Crossroads, so today got one to bring home. Unbeknownst to us, it has changed hands. Great coffee, great food, great service. This hidden little gem does some of the best coffee and best breakfasts I've ever had. Sandwiches loaded with bacon, eggs cooked to perfection, bloody good coffee and wonderful, friendly service. All at a fairly modest price.
