Ive never left an online review in my life but the food was so dreadfull that I find it difficult to believe that the 4 & 5 star reviews for this restaurant aren't bought bot reviews. The quality of the food is simply too poor to attract 200 5 star reviews.
If I were you I'd take the 5 stars with a pinch of salt.
It was the worst Indian food I've ever tasted and frankly I would be embarrassed to serve this to an Indian person.
The chicken chasni is literally just reconstituted chicken loaf chunks in tomato soup covered in sugar . The Prawn Korma had no coconut flavour at all and tasted like chicken or mushroom soup. The Pilau rice was as hard as bullets
The prawns themselves however were a good size and the people who work there were nice. The keema Naan was tasty.
It was literally the worst take out I've had in 49 years, but according to Google 200 'people' thought the food was 'incredible' and 'amazing'.
I smell a rat in these reviews.
EDIT - Cant work out how to reply to the owners reply so will add here. 1- Your currys are VERY FAR from UK style currys. British people pride themselves on loving Indian food ,and your curry's aren't Western in any way.
2- 'If you want traditional Indian food just ask'.....But you are an Indian restaurant !!!! What are customers supposed to expect other than traditional Indian...
Read moreSlow Fusion certainly nothing fast here. Shocking Service, average curry, not enough depth to spices, we asked med to hot, we got vindaloo heat, only ate a little, what a waste of hard earned money. Went in to order takeaway, told 15 minutes wait NOT 40 mins. 40 minutes later after lots of customers came and went, when we asked where curry is, the man smiled and said the naan takes 40 minutes, that was the problem. Huh? Lived all over the world, always takes 15 minutes for a naan! Bad carefree customer service, mediocre food, go elsewhere to spend your $.
Update: Wow, the fact they are lying in their reply about what really happened shows they have no integrity and do not care at all about customer service. We walked in off the street and told 15 minutes otherwise we would have not ordered. Worst indian takeaway in the 4 countries we have lived in over my lifetime. Tip: A genuine apology goes a long way, lying about what went wrong just makes you...
Read morePretty good this one and one of the most 'British' of Indians that we have found in our travels (local POMs will know what we mean). It's a small bistro cafe style restaurant but don't let that put you off, decor and surroundings are great and the welcome and service were exceptional. Some of the "fusion" menu items are definitely worth trying as they are a little different and very tasty. We had popaddoms with a fusion onion relish and both were very fresh and tasty. Starters were Shish Kebabs which were average (until you add the delicious green sauce) and Garlic Mushrooms which was basically a lot of garlic with some mushrooms but the girls loved it all the same. Chicken Balti was nice (thick gravy sauce), Vegetable Karia very good but very spicy but sadly the Fish curry was let down by some rubbery snapper. All in all a pleasant evening and we will definitely return as its one of the better mid-table restaurants around. Curry...
