I went to bunbury On the 30th May 2023. Dine in for lunch meal, ordered two dishes (sweet sour pork and fried rice) (prawn chow mein with Fried rice) my child was at school so i packed some food up for them, at night time they wanted the food i took home from Green Jade, i heated up and served to them, AS I WAS PUTTING THE FOOD ON PLATE I SAW THIS FLY IN THE FRIED RICE!!! It was black and crispy looked like it had been deep fried!!!! It made my stomach soooo discussed I was wanting to throw up my lunch I had there. If this could let me send pictures I can show you the dead body of the fly! !! Omg! I'm never in this restaurant ever again, Thank God my kids didn't eat it! OMG! I can't believe it!! I have only been here once, around June 2021, service was great, I had beef satay and fried rice, I didn't like it, not a nutty flavour at all, quite watery and lacking flavour, fried rice is VERY bland. Wife had lemon chicken which looked very nice, I had some and it was delicious.
This is now my "go to" place when I feel like lemon chicken. So so sooo good, crispy crunchy batter, plenty of lemon sauce, HOT, fresh, and cooked to perfection. The Green Jade Chinese Restaurant while it is a very popular place as they offer a $13 lunch menu, I was disappointed with my choice from the menu. While the fried rice was nice , I didn't like the honey chicken. It was two chicken breasts meat cooked in batter then cut up into strip's with honey poured over the top. The honey was very over powering when eaten, where as it should be a subtle taste of honey and a lot more sesame seeds. However it's not all bad.
